MWI 2024 kicks off on July 24th and the 12 teams are ready to fight their way across the Land of Dawn and claim their spot in the history books.
On Wednesday, July 24th, 2024, twelve teams from around the world begin their battle in Riyadh, Saudia Arabia at the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Women’s Invitational within the Esports World Cup. Having made their way through qualifiers, and multiple tournaments, the women of these teams now move on to one of the biggest challenges of their MLBB careers – an international tournament where they will have to leave nothing to chance against the biggest teams. With that in mind, we break down MWI 2024 – from the teams involved, the prize pool, the format, and everything in between.

MWI Format
This year at MWI, amongst many changes from previous years, we see the tournament format shifting too, as the twelve teams find themselves drawn into four groups of three – which is where they will begin their tournament. The Group Stage will see the teams begin their journey with best-of-two series in a single round-robin where the bottom team in each of the four groups will be eliminated. The top two from each of the four groups will progress into the playoffs, where they will fight in a best-of-three single elimination bracket all the way through to the semi-finals – where best-of-five will take over.
An MWI to remember
We have already seen MLBB take control of the Esports World Cup this year with the Mid Season Cup 2024, and MWI 2024 stands to do the same. As the only female event at the EWC, MWI is already breaking boundaries, as fans from across the globe tune in to watch their favourite teams in action. With a massive prize pool of $500,000 on offer this year, the tournament is set to be one for the history books.
You can catch all the action from the MWI 2024 at the EWC from July 24th, with everything coming to end on July 27th when a champion is crowned. With so much to look forward to, this week is going to be one of the most interesting ones in MLBB history and we are excited to see who will be crowned the winner of this amazing MWI event.
