LG Evil and FaZe Clan advance in the NA Loser's Bracket while Rise Nation and LG Loyal are eliminated from the tournament.

FaZe managed to surprise with an uncommon hero against Rise Nation while Evil and Loyal were neck and neck throughout most of their match. Missed something? Don't worry, we've got you covered in the recap below.

Rise Nation vs FaZe Clan - FaZe wins, 0-2

Route 66 was the first map of the night, and it didn't go without some surprises. Though Zombs and ShaDowBurn - mostly on Tracer, not his world-renowned Genji - led the charge on offense to give FaZe the map completion in Overtime, it was Forsak3n's surprise Torbjorn that held down the payload on defense, getting a quad kill to shutout Rise on Route 66.

King's Row once again saw Zombs and ShaDowBurn shine, but FctFctn was able to turn a few fights in FaZe's favor to capture the point with 4.5 seconds left on the clock. Promodulce's trial run on Rise continued with a few clutch Reinhardt moves of his own, being the anchor tank Rise had been missing to properly push the payload and overwhelm FaZe. Rise swept through the map, completing it with 4:44 left over.

Overtime went incredibly well for FaZe, who used that one minute to their advantage, completing the entire map and not dropping a single fight once Overtime began. Rise, on the other hand, needed their time to even capture the first point, thanks to FaZe being able to overcome Rise's plethora of ultimates to hold them to well under a minute in the time bank until Rise was finally able to capture the point. Within moments of Overtime, Mikeya, Rawkus and ShaDowBurn were able to overwhlem Rise Nation to clear them off the point and win the match for FaZe, 2-0.

Rise Nation is eliminated from the Overwatch Pit Championship while FaZe moves on to face CLG in the next round of the Loser's Bracket.

LG Loyal vs LG Evil - LG Evil wins, 1-2

The sister squads of Luminosity Gaming once again faced off, setting up a rematch from the Overwatch Carbon Series where Evil barely took down Loyal, 2-3. However, this time around, Evil's teamwork was near flawless, allowing them to coordinate far better than LG Loyal to win multiple fights and end up victorious.

The first map of the series was Nepal. LG Evil started off strong, grabbing Village and swiftly claiming first dibs on Shrine. Train's McCree targeted the DPS and support heroes of Loyal, which stunted Hidan's Ana's healing enough to hold Loyal off for most of the match. Evil's tanks Voll and Super weren't ones to be outdone, with both of them working together to bring Evil to Overtime. Loyal took the point and almost ran away with the map, but Evil was able to take it back and bring it home, furthering their lead on Nepal to 0-2. On Sanctum, Jake and Train worked together to keep most of Loyal at bay, with Jake being able to pull off a distracting Dragon Blade while Train cleaned up whatever Jake left behind. It was that sort of teamwork that allowed Evil to sweep Nepal from LG Loyal, 3-0.

King's Row was close between the two teams, but Loyal's triple tank composition was superior and barely edged out Evil's superior teamwork. Despite strong showings from Jake and Train's DPS and Spree and Rob420's Zarya and Ana during regulation, it was Overtime where Loyal shined. Olbaa and Superplouk in particular brought their A-game and the team as a whole seemed to have brought level of coordination not seen in earlier rounds. A nice Graviton from Spree and follow-up from the rest of his team cleared the point of Evil, which allowed Loyal to barely make it out of King's Row alive, 5-4.

With the series tied, the sister squads travelled to Lijang Tower to settle the match. Loyal seemed a bit overagressive for a few fights, costing them some retake opprotunities that ultimately led to their demise. Despite some clutch heals from Hidan and Clown - including a clutch Bio Gernade and Sound Barrier combo that allowed Loyal to hold out on the second playthough of Control Center for a few moments longer than they should have - Evil was still able to overpower their sister team and take the series 2-1.

LG Loyal and Rise Nation have officially been eliminated from the tournament, while LG Evil and FaZe Clan live to see another day and take on Team Liquid and Counter Logic Gaming, respectively. Selfless and Rogue are also still in the tournament and will face off in the NA Winner's Bracket Finals later on this week.
