Halfway through the Mobile Legends Professional League in the Philippines, we have some interesting results coming in.
We have just moved over the halfway point in MPL PH Season 11, with the eight teams still fighting to reach the playoffs. However, there are a few teams which have already proven that they are worthy of progressing, but some that have really struggled to make things come together. Here are our takeaways from Week 4 of the event.
A tale of three champions
It had been nearly four weeks since Echo seemed completely unstoppable in the MPL, especially since their brilliant M4 World Championships victory. However, this week gave us the sign that ECHO have a weakness and can be stopped – oddly by a team who we know as the Kingslayers.
After taking down Blacklist International last week, RSG.PH now are on a warpath to relive their Season 9 dominance, having now moved themselves into a solid third place. With Week 5 around the corner, RSG get another crack at Bren Esports and Blacklist too – while Echo should have a much easier week.
Although it has been a long time since Bren Esports were champions, this season is really bringing out the best of their squad. In four weeks, Bren have only dropped two games, which came in their loss to ECHO during Week 1. Statistics like those are what the old Bren used to bring to the table before they became the M2 World Champions. This weekend we get to see if they can continue to climb with another chance to take down ECHO and Smart Omega Esports to close things out.
MPL PH Season 11 is definitely beginning to heat up, with three possibly teams doing battle for the top spot currently, as well as the previous champions close on their tales. With four weeks of Regular Season action to go, it is going to be interesting to see just who comes out on top.
