It’s been a quiet week in the Pro Valorant Roster scene since Gen.G won Masters Shanghai. Apart from Stax moving to T1, no hyped-up news has emerged. However, a few potential big-name transfers might take place soon, and we will look into those potential changes in this post. Demon1 is among the big names who will probably move from NRG as he’s been moved to the bench. Game Changers ended with Shopify Rebellion being crowned the champions. Keep reading to learn more about what the pro Valorant scene was up to this past week.

Shazam’s Potential Move

Shazam revealed that he might return to VCT matches, potentially joining a ropster in the Americas. Rumours suggests that he could join KRU, given the roster options and language compatibility. Shazam mentioned on his stream that if things go right, he will join a VCT team soon.

Tournament Highlights

Yesterday, Game Changers Stage Two concluded with Shopify Rebellion defeating Fly Quest Red in the finals. Despite a close match, Florescent of Shopify Rebellion acknowledged they could have played better. However, they still ended up as favorites to win the season. Florescent achieved 111 kills over the five maps played.

Pacific and China VCT Results

In the Pacific and China regions, several significant matches took place. Paper Rex defeated Talon Esports in a quick 2-0 series. In this series, Paper Rex’s player, Something, broke the record for the most kills in the Pacific VCT, surpassing the 1,000-kill threshold.

RRQ versus DFM saw RRQ securing their first series win, with Monet making a notable return. DFM’s attempts to improve and change strategies didn’t yield positive results, losing the series 2-0.

Gen.G took down T1 in a competitive series, winning 2-1. Despite being the champions of Shanghai, Gen.G didn’t dominate as expected. Team Secret also secured their first win, defeating Bleed in a series that went 13-8 and 13-8 on the last map.

Current Meta and Agent Gameplay

The current meta sees agents like Neon and ISO in significant play. This dynamic creates an interesting scenario in ranked matches, with every game featuring ISO, Neon, and possibly Jett. This might not reflect the actual gameplay when VCT matches resume, but it highlights the need for possible changes in the ranked queue system.

Other Roster Updates

T1 has made a roster change with Stax, formerly of DRX, replacing Carpe. Despite losing a close series 2-1 against Gen.G, T1 showed competitive gameplay. The team hinted at possible future roster adjustments, but Stax’s inclusion seems to be a permanent change for now.

Apart from the pro roster scene in Valorant, the console edition of the game is finally live. Riot has now shifted focus to the beta launch for consoles. Players can play the game on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. There is no crossplay between PC and console to ensure competitive integrity. The console edition only supports controller inputs, and Riot insists on keeping it this way. The UI and AI practice options are much better on the console than on the PC. Rumors suggest that the game will be out of beta and ready for full launch by mid-July.
