With the firm decision of removing the Hextech Chest, the devs also clarified that it will not revert to a time where the feature did not exist. They announced about the battle pass and improvements of skin quality this year forward.

The devs also hinted that there may still be hope for a way to get free skins. However, it may not be as much as the Hextech Chest and nothing is still known about it.
