Choosing the right hero in TBH: Task Bar Hero can make progression much easier, especially once you reach Nightmare and Torment difficulty. Every hero is capable of clearing the game’s content with enough investment, but some scale far better into the late game thanks to stronger damage, utility, or survivability.

Here’s our current Task Bar Hero tier list and a breakdown of each hero’s strengths.

TBH: Task Bar Hero Tier List

Tier Heroes S+ Tier Ranger S Tier Priest A Tier Hunter, Slayer B Tier Sorcerer, Knight

S+ Tier

Ranger

The Ranger is currently the strongest hero in Task Bar Hero and stands comfortably above every other character.

She excels at both single-target and area damage, offering exceptional DPS, fast map clearing, and some of the best gear scaling in the game. Skills like Rapid Fire and Scatter Shot allow her to dominate boss encounters while also clearing large groups of enemies with ease.

Although her early-game performance is somewhat gear-dependent, the Ranger becomes one of the strongest carries once properly equipped. Pairing her with a support hero, particularly the Priest, helps smooth out the leveling process.

Pros

  • Excellent single-target DPS
  • Fast wave clearing
  • Outstanding late-game scaling
  • Excels in end-game content

Cons

  • Gear-dependent early on
  • Benefits greatly from team support

S Tier

Priest

The Priest is the premier support hero and fits into almost every powerful team composition.

Her healing abilities greatly improve party survivability, while Blessing of Might provides a valuable damage boost for the entire group. She can also be built as a durable off-tank, allowing her to absorb damage while continuing to heal allies.

While she won’t out-damage dedicated DPS heroes, the Priest dramatically increases the effectiveness of nearly every team.

Pros

  • Excellent healing
  • Powerful team buffs
  • Strong survivability
  • Fits into nearly every composition

Cons

  • Limited personal damage

A Tier

Hunter

The Hunter is a powerful ranged DPS hero that performs particularly well in high-end content.

Abilities like Explosive Bolt and Frost Bolt provide strong burst damage while allowing the Hunter to attack safely from a distance. With proper critical-focused equipment, the Hunter scales very well into the late game.

Although she lacks the versatility of the Ranger, she’s still one of the strongest damage dealers available.

Pros

  • High critical damage
  • Strong end-game scaling
  • Safe ranged playstyle

Cons

  • Slightly less flexible than Ranger

Slayer

The Slayer rewards players who enjoy aggressive melee combat.

Once equipped with powerful gear, the Slayer becomes an excellent source of burst and area damage through abilities such as Bloodlust, Crushing Blow, and Ground Slam. He requires more investment than most ranged heroes, but the payoff is significant in both boss fights and large enemy groups.

Pros

  • Excellent burst damage
  • Strong AoE potential
  • Effective boss killer

Cons

  • Requires heavy investment
  • Melee positioning can be challenging

B Tier

Sorcerer

The Sorcerer is one of the easiest heroes to use during the early game.

Powerful spells like Lightning and Meteor Strike make clearing Normal difficulty quick and efficient. However, as enemy difficulty increases, the Sorcerer’s damage falls behind the top-tier DPS heroes.

He’s still a solid beginner-friendly choice but struggles to compete in Nightmare and Torment without significant investment.

Pros

  • Excellent early-game AoE
  • Easy for new players
  • Fast leveling

Cons

  • Weak late-game scaling
  • Lower damage than top-tier DPS heroes

Knight

The Knight is a defensive melee hero focused on protecting the team.

While abilities like Aegis Field provide valuable defensive utility, the Knight suffers from lower damage output and has difficulty dealing with ranged enemies. His niche role means he appears less frequently in optimized end-game builds, though dedicated players can still make him effective.

Pros

  • Strong defensive utility
  • Durable frontline
  • Useful in certain team compositions

Cons

  • Low damage output
  • Struggles against ranged enemies
  • Requires significant investment

Best Heroes in Task Bar Hero

The current meta heavily favors the Ranger, who remains the strongest overall hero thanks to her exceptional damage and scaling. The Priest is the best support character and complements nearly every team, while the Hunter and Slayer are excellent alternatives for players looking for additional DPS options.

Although the Sorcerer and Knight can still complete all content with enough investment, they generally require more effort to achieve the same results as the higher-ranked heroes.
