Kengan Ashura fans, buckle up! The climactic finale of the Kengan Life-or-Death tournament is almost here! We’ve got a killer trailer and some seriously awesome art from the anime just released. Mark your calendars for the epic finale – the series hits Netflix worldwide on August 15th! Yabako Sandrovich and Daromeon collaborated on this mega-hit manga that reached over 670 million reads on Ura Sunday and MangaONE, and took home a most fun to read award in 2018. The anime, Kengan Ashura, also took off, with season 1 arriving in 2019 on Netflix followed by season 2 starting in August 2023.

Kengan Ashura’s Origins

Kengan Ashura began life as an extremely cool action comic by Yabako Sandrovich and drawn by Daromeon. From April 18, 2012 to August 9, 2018, it was published online in a magazine called Ura Sunday and on the MangaONE app. There are 27 volumes of fighting action, and you can read the English version online at Comikey! 

Kengan Ashura S2’s Soundtrack & Animation

Get ready for an adrenaline rush with HEY-SMITH’s “Feel My Pain” and rap star Jin Dogg’s “NANI?”, pronounced “What”. It is a great anime adaptation of by Yabako Sandrovich and Daromeon. The manga is available online in Japanese on the MangaONE app and in English on Comikey. It’s from Seiji Kishi of Larx Entertainment and you know it’s going to be beautiful.

The Voice Cast Returns!

Season two returns the team that brought you season one. Seiji Kishi, who helmed Yuki Yuna as a Hero, is back at the helm. Joining him are Makoto Uezu and Go Zappa, who penned the scripts for Rumble Garanndoll and How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom, respectively. Kazuaki Morita, who created the characters for Classroom of the Elite II, returns to the fold, and it will be sung by Yasuharu Takanashi of Taisho Otome Fairy Tale fame. 

The animation will continue to be done by Larx Entertainment. Looks like season two is in good hands! The voices you know and love are back, the main cast stars, Tatsuhisa Suzuki returns as Ohma Tokita, while Choo takes over the role of Kazuo Yamashita.
