Get ready to set out on an exciting expedition with Expedition 33. In this mission, you will unlock one of the most wanted weapons in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33: the Kralim. It’s not only known for its extreme elemental abilities, but it also has many unique abilities that will change what you can do in gameplay. In this full guide, we’ll show you everything you need to get and upgrade this incredible weapon for yourself.

What is Kralim?

Kralim is one of the most powerful weapons you can find for Lune in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. The weapon deals Lightning elemental damage and scales its base attack using both Vitality and Agility. The unique aspect of Kralim is its skill synergy mechanic. At level 4, when Lune uses skills with different elements in succession, Kralim gains a 20% bonus damage to every other element. However, the effect resets if Lune performs a skill belonging to that last used element.

Notably, Kralim’s very special passive abilities encourage the skillful management of Stains. At level 10, Kralim grants a Stain Generation passive. If Lune has zero Stains at the beginning of each turn, will automatically cause Lune to generate 2 random Stains. Stains are necessary for triggering skill effects and bonuses and keep Lune from running dry on Stains.

Lastly, at Level 20, absorbing Stains provides +1 action points to Lune. With this, she can use even more skills or power combos in one turn. That is why elemental rotation combined with Stain consumption makes Kralim the best for players who like an advantage in elemental combos and stacking effects to bring enemies down.

How to Get Kralim

You can get the Kralim by taking a trip to the Yellow Harvest area, northwest of the Hidden Gestral Arena. To get into Yellow Harvest, first clear Esquie’s Nest and obtain Esquie’s skill, since it is blocked with jagged rocks that only Esquie can break through. From here onward, go through Yellow Harvest until you reach the boss fight zone. At this point, turn to your right and jump through a hole to meet three enemies. After killing them, you can now get the Kralim weapon.

Once you kill the enemies, you might also encounter a group of enemies toward the edge of the map that give you upgrades for the weapon. These enemies are not easy to defeat, so you may want a strong build in order to take them on.

Upgrading Kralim

In upgrading the Kralim, you’ll need to gather Tints that come with each upgrade level’s rarity you’ll be pursuing. As the rarity increases for upgrading, so does the available upgrade material. The upgrade materials can be gained through enemy loot, purchased at merchants, or obtained through completion of quests and exploration.

  • 3x Chroma Catalyst
  • 12x Polished Chroma Catalyst
  • 27x Resplendent Chroma Catalyst
  • 35x Grandiose Chroma Catalyst
  • 1x Perfect Chroma Catalyst

Upgrades are pursued through the Curator, a mysterious NPC located in your camp after. When you interact with the Curator, select the Kralim weapon and offer the required tints to upgrade your weapon’s level.
