Fortnite Season 3 Adds X-Wings, Darth Jar Jar, and a Death Star Event

Fortnite Season 3 has officially become a full-scale Star Wars crossover titled Galactic Battle. The new season features an extensive battle pass lineup, with characters such as Jedi Eevee, Poe Dameron, Emperor Palpatine, and the long-requested General Grievous. While only three of the eight skins are core Star Wars characters, one of the most surprising additions is Wookie Team Leader.
Custom styles for characters, including Eevee’s dark side variation, add depth to this season’s customization. Grievous has proven to be a major highlight, while Darth Jar Jar’s inclusion leans into the infamous fan theory. Whether he’s an item shop exclusive or a secret battle pass skin remains unconfirmed, but his role in this season is already generating buzz.
Flyable X-Wings, New Map POIs, and Darth Vader’s Samurai Dojo
One of the most exciting additions in Fortnite Season 3 is the introduction of flyable Star Wars vehicles. Players can now pilot X-Wings and TIE Fighters. These are not just background visuals—they are usable in-game vehicles. TIE Fighters accommodate duos, while X-Wings are designed for squads, even allowing teammates to ride on the wings.
The map has also undergone major changes. Hopeful Heights has been replaced by a desert biome called Outpost Enclave, home to Mos Eisley and its iconic cantina. In the snowy mountains, a crashed AT-AT has been turned into a food hub named Eat Eat. Meanwhile, the top left of the map features a Resistance base with the Millennium Falcon parked inside, and the top right hosts a First Order base guarded by Captain Phasma.
Another significant point of interest is Vader’s Samurai Dojo. Themed after a fusion of Sith lore and samurai culture, it gives Darth Vader a new seasonal skin and location. Players can expect to battle his stormtroopers and possibly Vader himself at this redesigned POI.
Live Event: Destroying the Death Star and Weekly Star Wars Phases
This season isn’t just about cosmetics. Epic has planned five consecutive content updates, each themed after a Star Wars era. The timeline begins with the Imperial Takeover on May 2, followed by Pull of the Force, Mandalorian Rising, and Star Destroyer Bombardment. Each update brings new weapons, characters, and limited-time experiences.
The season will culminate in a live finale event called Death Star Sabotage. In this event, players will reenact a trench run to destroy the Death Star, similar in scale to the Galactus and Operation Skyfire events. This marks the first time since Chapter 3 that Fortnite has hosted two live events in a single year.
Weapons, Free Skins, and What’s Coming to Other Modes
Weapon additions this season are just as exciting as the skins. Players will gain access to the DL-44 pistol, CR2 heavy pistol, and the A280 CF convertible blaster. Mace Windu will bring his purple lightsaber as a new mythic, marking the first time his character appears in Fortnite.
Outside Battle Royale, Epic is expanding Star Wars content into other game modes. Fortnite Festival is adding new jam tracks like the Imperial March and Jabba’s Palace theme. In Rocket League, players can earn a Stormtrooper Octane paint job and a Darth Vader Porsche GT3 RS decal.
Lego Fortnite is also joining the crossover. A new Lego Pass launches on May 2 featuring Captain Phasma and possibly a C-3PO skin. Teasers already show a keychain on Wookie Team Leader’s satchel with the correct silver leg—an homage to the character’s original trilogy design.
