Fortnite’s first-ever Community Day is officially live, running for a full 24 hours from May 30, 2026 at 9:00 AM ET through May 31, 2026 at 9:00 AM ET. Epic Games designed this end-of-season celebration to pack in free rewards, community-voted gameplay changes, a Power Hour event, and a major live event reveal, all in a single day.

Simply logging into Fortnite during the event window automatically unlocks these free cosmetics:

  • Community ‘Brella (base black style) — the first of what Epic plans to be a collectible umbrella series across future seasons

  • Community ‘Brella PRIME style — a blue-swirl variant themed after the Indigo Kuno skin

  • Silver Surfer “Reflector” Wrap

  • Workplace Foundation Style — exclusive to Battle Pass owners only

Epic Games has confirmed that future Community Days will each introduce a new style for the Community ‘Brella, making them collectible season-by-season markers.

All-Day Gameplay Changes

These changes are active across all 24 hours of Community Day:

  • Every chest on the island is a Rare Blue Chest — upgraded loot from the very first drop

  • Double XP (Supercharged) up to 50 levels — once you hit 50 bonus levels, XP reverts to standard rate

  • 5x Rivalry Credits on every Bounty — you can freely spend and upgrade weapons at the Rivalry Board without conserving credits

  • Finger Guns unvaulted — returning from April Fools, available for the full 24-hour window

  • Larger stackable Pizza Slices — also part of the community-voted gameplay changes

  • Golden Fireworks Pistol — a special Community Day-only weapon; fire it into the air to mark nearby players in the surrounding area

The Double XP and bonus credits apply to other modes as well, including Reload, so players who prefer to avoid Power Hour changes can still benefit.

Power Hour — 3:30 PM ET

At exactly 3:30 PM ET, a one-hour Power Hour kicks off with dramatically different loot:

  • Exotic Cube Rifle — players drop into matches already carrying it

  • Infinity Blades — found in chests during this window

  • Self-Revive — available throughout the Power Hour

Alongside the Power Hour, The Epilogue for Chapter 7 Season 2’s Showdown storyline also begins at 3:30 PM ET.

Twitch Drops

Watching Fortnite content on Twitch during Community Day unlocks three free cosmetic rewards:

  • A Pickaxe

  • A Back Bling

  • A Wrap

The FNCS (Fortnite Championship Series) Chapter 7 Season 2 Finals are also streaming on this day, giving fans a reason to tune in competitively.

Item Shop Highlights

Two notable skins are returning or debuting in the Item Shop during Community Day:

  • Indigo Kuno — originally a PlayStation Cup exclusive from December 2020, now available to all players

  • Typical Gamer — a brand-new creator skin making its shop debut

The “Shattered” Live Event — June 5

The Community Day Power Hour at 3:30 PM ET includes a teaser trailer for the season-ending live event. The event, officially named “Shattered,” takes place on Friday, June 5, 2026 at 7:00 PM ET (doors open at 6:20 PM ET). It will serve as the finale for Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 2 and bring the ongoing storyline between The Foundation and the Ice King to a close with your faction choice between the two teams affecting how you personally experience the event.
