Ángel Correa finally receives his first special card of the year in FC 25, which is surprising given his usual presence in promos and SBCs across past titles. This Dream Chasers SBC introduces a 92-rated version of Correa, and while his stats appear exceptional at first glance, there are a few points worth discussing.

Correa boasts excellent attributes across the board—pace, shooting, dribbling, physicals, and even passing. As a right winger or striker, he has the tools necessary to thrive in multiple roles. However, the most glaring issue is his 4-star skill moves and 4-star weak foot. At this stage in the game, this rating feels underwhelming, especially for a 92-rated card. A 5-star weak foot or 5-star skills would’ve made a significant difference in gameplay.

In-Game Performance

Correa’s combination of the Power Shot and First Touch play style plus is decent but not elite. Used recently in the same role as Balotelli, this combo was functional, but not game-changing. The biggest strength of this card lies in its versatility. Whether deployed as a striker or wide player, Correa’s base stats support his effectiveness. His finesse shots, technical play, and rapid movement add extra flair, even without traits like Trickster or Low Driven.

Inside Forward+ appears to be the most effective role. In this position, Correa excels at making smart runs, cutting in from the wing, and taking advantage of his right foot for precise finishes. Though he lacks standout play styles, his First Touch style often adds a subtle edge to his movement in tight spaces.

Price, Chemistry, and Tactical Flexibility

The price of the SBC is one of its strongest selling points. At around 60–68k coins, this Correa card is among the cheapest 92-rated SBCs in FC 25. For those in need of an Atlético Madrid past and present squad player or a high-rated impact sub, the value is apparent. However, he’s not a must-complete SBC. He won’t displace top-tier attackers in most teams and feels more like a quality squad filler than a star.

A Hawk chemistry style is highly recommended. It improves his speed, shot power, and physicality—enhancing his explosiveness in tight areas and giving him the edge on short sprints. However, despite the explosive acceleration type, Correa doesn’t feel as powerful or quick as players like controlled-lengthy Suárez or Ronaldo.

FC 25 Ángel Correa Verdict: Solid But Not Sensational

In two matches, Correa delivered six goals, including a hat trick and several well-timed runs that led to clean finishes. His movement is consistent, and his positioning inside the box is excellent. However, the lack of standout play styles like Trickster or Quick Step, combined with his 4-star limitations, leaves something to be desired.

EA Sports may have played it safe with this card. With no wow factor or unique mechanic, he feels like a filler option rather than a game-breaking SBC. While the Power Shot can be fun in the right situations, most high-level opponents can easily block them unless there’s open space.

If this card had received upgrades such as a 5-star skill move, a Low Driven play style plus, or an improved advanced role, it could’ve been a standout SBC. As it stands, he’s simply a solid, affordable option—nothing more, nothing less.
