DICE has confirmed that Battlefield 6 Season 4: Naval Warfare will launch on July 21, 2026. The update introduces the game’s biggest expansion of naval combat to date, featuring large-scale sea battles, new vehicles and weapons, the largest multiplayer map yet, and the return of the fan-favorite Wake Island.

The announcement was accompanied by the season’s debut gameplay trailer, offering the first look at the new content.

Season 4 Brings Naval Combat to the Forefront

Battlefield 6’s fourth season shifts the focus toward battles across land, sea, and air. According to DICE, Naval Warfare expands the game’s combat sandbox with mechanics designed specifically for maritime engagements.

Among the headline additions are:

  • The largest Battlefield 6 map so far
  • New naval vehicles
  • Additional weapons
  • Dynamic wave mechanics
  • A homing torpedo system for anti-ship combat

The gameplay trailer showcased speedboat battles, naval firefights, and players navigating hazardous waters filled with underwater mines. Dynamic waves also appear to influence movement and combat, adding another layer of strategy during matches.

Tsuru Reef Headlines the New Maps

Season 4 introduces Tsuru Reef, a brand-new battlefield built around both open water and land-based objectives.

The map is designed to support combined-arms warfare, allowing infantry, armored vehicles, aircraft, and naval forces to fight across a single large-scale environment. The trailer highlighted simultaneous engagements taking place on beaches, offshore waters, and inland combat zones.

Wake Island Returns

Alongside Tsuru Reef, Wake Island makes its return to the Battlefield series.

The classic map has been rebuilt for Battlefield 6 with an expanded layout and gameplay systems tailored to the new naval mechanics. Players will be able to command larger vessels equipped with mortar cannons while battling across both land and sea.

Rather than serving as a direct remake, the updated version combines Wake Island’s recognizable layout with the new features introduced in Season 4.

Season 4 Arrives Next Week

With its July 21 release, Battlefield 6 Season 4: Naval Warfare marks the game’s biggest update focused on maritime combat. Between new maps, expanded vehicle options, dynamic water physics, and the return of one of the franchise’s most iconic battlegrounds, the season aims to broaden Battlefield 6’s large-scale multiplayer experience when it launches next week.
