How to Use Interrogate Effectively

The interrogate ability is the detective’s strongest tool, but it has limited uses per case. By default, detectives can interrogate up to three crewmates, though lobbies can set this between two and four.

  • Use interrogations to track patterns when multiple murders happen close together.

The goal is to gather solid leads and connect information across cases without wasting uses on safe players.

Synergy With Tracker and Counters to Detective

The tracker role pairs perfectly with the detective, as trackers can locate crewmates in real time. Together, they can confirm alibis, spot inconsistencies, and identify suspicious movements more easily.

However, certain impostor roles can counter the detective effectively:

  • Viper Role – If the impostor dissolves a body completely, detectives lose crucial location data.

  • Shape-Shifters and Deceivers – Fake alibis and misdirection become harder to detect without tracker support.
