Running out of inventory space is a common problem in Moonlight Peaks, especially when you’re mining, foraging, or exploring for long periods. Fortunately, you can permanently expand your carrying capacity and make inventory management much easier with a few upgrades and storage options.
Here’s everything you need to know about increasing your inventory space.
How to Upgrade Your Inventory
The only way to permanently increase your inventory is by purchasing Inventory Upgrades from Sabrina at the Webb of Wonders shop.
Open the Tools tab to find the available upgrades.
Item Shop Price Effect Inventory Upgrade 1 Webb of Wonders 2,000 Coins +10 inventory slots Inventory Upgrade 2 Webb of Wonders 20,000 Coins +10 inventory slotsThe first upgrade is available from the start of the game. After purchasing it, the second upgrade becomes available.
Buying both upgrades expands your inventory from 20 slots to 40 slots, doubling the amount of items you can carry before needing to empty your bags.
Home Storage
Your house includes an unlimited storage system simply called Storage, allowing you to keep as many items as you like.
How to store items
- Enter your house.
- Open your inventory.
- Select the item you want to store.
- Choose Store.
- If the item is stackable, select how many you want to deposit.
How to retrieve items
- Enter your house.
- Press G on PC or D-Pad Down on a controller.
- Select the item you want to withdraw.
If your inventory is already full, the retrieved item will be dropped onto the ground instead.
The biggest drawback of Home Storage is accessibility. Since it can only be opened inside your house, you’ll need to return home whenever you want to deposit or retrieve materials.
Build Storage Crates
If you need quick access to materials while working around your farm, Storage Crates are a much more convenient option.
Storage Crates can be crafted at a Workbench using 10 Planks. Each crate provides 12 storage slots and can be placed anywhere on your farm.
Unlike Home Storage, these containers are ideal for organizing specific resources close to where you use them.
For example, you can:
- Place one beside crafting stations for building materials.
- Keep farming supplies near your crop fields.
- Store ores and bars next to your smelting area.
- Create dedicated crates for fishing, cooking, or decorations.
Another advantage is flexibility. Storage Crates can be moved whenever you redesign your farm, making them easy to reorganize as your layout evolves.
Best Inventory Management Tips
Even after unlocking both inventory upgrades, efficient storage organization will save time during daily activities.
A few useful habits include:
- Purchase both Inventory Upgrades as early as possible.
- Use Home Storage for long-term item stockpiles.
- Place Storage Crates beside frequently used crafting stations.
- Sort similar materials into separate crates to make resources easier to find.
Expanding your inventory to 40 slots gives you much more room for exploration, while combining Home Storage with strategically placed Storage Crates helps keep your farm organized and minimizes unnecessary trips back to your house.
