Cerydra Basic Introduction

Cerydra is a 5-star Wind Harmony character in Honkai: Star Rail, performing as the support mostly in a hypercarry team. By giving her Skill to the main DPS, the main DPS gains a Charge every time they use their Basic ATK, Skill, and Ultimate (the Ultimate charges only once per battle) that can be used to trigger an extra Skill action after they use a Skill on enemy targets. Her kit revolves around the main DPS that uses their Basic ATK, and Skill frequently in order to reach the required Charge to activate. Additionally, whenever she uses her Ultimate, she gains 2 additional Charges. Her combat style focuses on giving the main DPS her Skill (she can use her Skill again to gain a Charge) to trigger their extra Skill action, increasing the team damage output. Her key features and limitations include:

Key Features

• Charge System: The Charge builds up whenever Cerydra uses her Skill on the same target or the main DPS uses their Basic ATK, Skill, and Ultimate. Once the Charge reaches a certain counter, the extra Skill action will be triggered.
• Damage Amplification: The buffed unit also gains a percentage of Cerydra’s ATK and Cerydra deals an Additional DMG when the buffed unit uses an attack while also granting CRIT DMG and All-Type RES PEN when the buffed unit uses their extra Skill action. Additionally, the buffed unit and Cerydra gains a SPD boost enabling some rotations that might require SPD tuning.

Limitations:

• Highly Specialized: Primarily designed for Skill-based attacker (e.g. Phainon, Anaxa, and Archer at the right investment).
• Single-target Buff: Her buff only affects one ally at a time compared to other Harmony supports.

• Basic ATK: Her Basic ATK is the least important trace to level up due to her combat style focuses on buffing the main DPS, making her Basic ATK to be usable only when SP management is a problem.
• Skill: Her Skill is the most important trace to level up since her Skill increases CRIT DMG and All-Type RES PEN when the extra Skill is triggered allowing the main DPS to deal even more damage.
• Ultimate: Level up her Ultimate after you have maxed her Skill and Talent since it increases her personal damage when dealing with small enemies, allowing for smoother rotations.
• Talent: Her Talent is the second most important trace to level up since it increases the number of ATK% given by Cerydra to the main DPS. Additionally, her talent also increases the multiplier of her Additional DMG.
• Major Trace 1 (Veni): Her A2 trace gives her a CRIT DMG that scales with Cerydra’s ATK, making her build requires a lot of ATK in order to increase her personal damage.
• Major Trace 2 (Vidi): Her A4 trace gives her a 100% CRIT Rate, allowing her to exclusively build ATK and CRIT DMG for more personal damage.
• Major Trace 3 (Guardian): Her A6 trace provides a 20% SPD boost to herself and unit with her Skill buff for 3 turns. This SPD boost allows for smooth rotations and reaching certain SPD breakpoint while also having the main DPS use ATK boots instead of SPD boots. Additionally, When a character with her Skill buff uses Basic ATK or Skill, she gains 5 Energy that significantly improves her Ultimate uptime and overall rotation.

S1: Increases the wearer's ATK by 64%. After using Ultimate to attack, recovers 1 Skill Point(s). When the wearer uses their Skill on one ally character, increases the Skill DMG dealt by the target by 54% for 3 turn(s).

This light cone is her best-in-slot option. This light cone increases Cerydra’s ATK which she needs to reach her ATK requirement for her A2 trace. Additionally, this light cone increases the Skill DMG whenever the wearer uses their Skill on one ally unit.

S1: After the wearer uses Skill or Ultimate on one ally character, the wearer regenerates 6 Energy and the ability's target receives 1 stack of "Hymn" for 3 turn(s), stacking up to 3 time(s). Each stack of "Hymn" increases its holder's DMG dealt by 15%. After every 2 instance(s) of Skill or Ultimate the wearer uses on one ally character, recovers 1 Skill Point.

This light cone is a solid option for Cerydra’s light cone. Although, the Ultimate part effect on this light cone does not work, she can still use her Skill to gain the benefit on this light cone. This light cone also regenerates 6 Energy whenever the wearer uses their Skill or Ultimate on one ally unit, increasing her Ultimate uptime.

Dance! Dance! Dance!

S5: When the wearer uses their Ultimate, all allies' actions are Advanced Forward by 24%.

This light cone is a strong option for Cerydra in endgame modes where reaching a certain Action Value is required. Her Ultimate uptime is quite frequent so she can maximize the potential of this light cone.

The Forever Victual

S5: Increases the wearer's ATK by 32%. After the wearer uses Skill, increases ATK by 16%, stacking up to 3 times.

This light cone is a great free-to-play option for Cerydra since it increases her ATK to reach her ATK requirements and gives more ATK whenever she uses her Skill.

2-Pc: Increases SPD by 6%.
4-Pc: When using Skill or Ultimate on one ally target, increases the ability target’s CRIT DMG by 18%, lasting for 2 turn(s). This effect can stack up to 2 time(s).

2-Pc: Increases Wind DMG by 10%.
4-Pc: After the wearer uses their Ultimate, their action is Advanced Forward by 25%.

2-Pc: Increases ATK by 12%.

2-Pc: Increases SPD by 6%.

2. Planar Ornament

As for her best planar ornaments, you can choose between Lushaka, the Sunken Seas or Sprightly Vonwacq.

2-Pc: Increases the wearer's Energy Regeneration Rate by 5%. If the wearer is not the first character in the team lineup, then increases the ATK of the first character in the team lineup by 12%.

• Phainon Team

In Phainon team, Cerydra is currently Phainon’s best-in-slot option, performing similarly to Robin with how Cerydra enables Phainon to do his Enhanced Skill twice. Cerydra also increases Phainon SPD by 20% allowing him to use ATK boots while also having the -1 SPD rotation with Sunday and Bronya for smooth Coreflame stack generation. Her E1 investment also increases the DEF Shred (stats that Phainon team lacks) of the buffed unit by a significant amount while also giving extra Energy that works with Phainon major trace for further Coreflame generation.

Support 2 & 3: Sunday / Bronya

Sustain (not preferred if you are using Phainon team): Gallagher

• Anaxa Team

In Anaxa team, Cerydra performs similarly to Robin with how Cerydra enables Anaxa to do his extra Skill twice making Anaxa uses 4 Skills in 1 turn. Cerydra also increases Anaxa SPD by 20% allowing him to use ATK boots while also having the -1 SPD rotation with Sunday or Bronya. Anaxa extra Skill from his talent also gains a Charge allowing him to reach the required Charge for triggering the extra Skill action. Cerydra’s Talent also increases ATK which is the stat that Anaxa requires the most. The sustain in Anaxa team can be Gallagher or Luocha for SP management since it can be SP intensive if you are using Anaxa’s Skill frequently or Huohuo for Cerydra’s Ultimate uptime allowing her to gain Charge more often.

Sustain: Gallagher / Luocha / Aventurine / Huohuo

• Archer Team

In Archer team, Cerydra can work well since Archer uses his Skill frequently to trigger the extra Skill action while also not consuming any SP. This synergy is improved further when Archer has E1 with him able to use his Skill more frequently. However, this synergy can be a sidegrade to other supports especially with other supports giving more damage amplification compared to Cerydra like Silver Wolf, Tribbie, or Cipher so you probably want to use Cerydra if you have Archer E1 in a sustainless team. Unlike the sustain in Anaxa team that does not use SP as much, sustain in Archer team have to generate SP as much as possible in order for Archer to maximize the usage of his Skill such as Gallagher, Luocha, and Aventurine.
