Infinity Nikki already sets itself apart from most other gacha games by having players collect outfits for the titular character instead of new playable characters. Things are taken to the next level with the version 1.9 update, as players can unlock the home feature. With new abilities, currencies, and the feature’s only limitation being your imagination, this is the complete guide to the Infinity Nikki home system.

How do you unlock the home feature in Infinity Nikki?
Before anything, it’s crucial to ensure that you know how to actually unlock the Infinity Nikki home feature. After updating to the 1.9 version of Infinity Nikki, you’ll get a new world quest pop-up titled “Set Off for a Warm Place.” The quest will require you to head to the Sea of Stars and go to the marked location that’s right next to the Unbound Wharf spire. If you haven’t unlocked the Sea of Stars, then you’ll likely have to complete the introductory quest first. You can even utilize LootBar’s services at this point to ensure you start the game the right way.
Going to the marked location will initiate an unprompted cutscene, where you’ll meet a completely new character. Continue with the quest and the cutscenes to eventually reach the unnamed floating island that’s apparently a gift for you. Of course, no home is complete without a name, and you’ll be asked to give your beloved home a name before continuing. Don’t stress too much here, since you can rename the island whenever you want.
Complete the conversation with the NPC Oriin, and you’ll be free to explore your new home. Of course, you can check out the Life in a Warm Place quest for a basic rundown of how things work on the island, making it the closest thing the game gives you to a tutorial. It’s important to keep in mind that you initially only have a small plot of land available to you. You can expand it by purchasing an Expansion Permit from the Yardling Shop.
-How do you get more home abilities in Infinity Nikki?
While the new area is cool, most players will likely be more interested in learning about how they can unlock new home abilities in Infinity Nikki. These abilities are tied to outfits that let you plant, fish, construct, and more. Fortunately, it isn’t too hard, since you can find the floating creature known as Posy on the map. Approach and interact with Posy to be given various options.
The first option is called “Home Abilities” and is arguably the most important one. Clicking on it gives you three different sections you can interact with. The first is Master Abilities, which refers to the basic abilities. Every home ability requires an Ability Permit to unlock, and the permit is given by Posy when the player progresses and improves their existing abilities. Of course, unlocking the ability this way still requires players to craft the outfit associated with it. After unlocking home abilities, players can navigate the other sections here to level and even merge their abilities. In particular, leveling abilities is crucial if you want to increase their efficiency and unlock rewards, including more ability permits.
All Infinity Nikki home abilities
The home abilities in Infinity Nikki ensure that the new feature stands out from the rest of the game. From planting new crops to constructing the home of your dream, these abilities let you use your imagination to bring creativity to life.
-Planting
Requiring the Spring Blossom ability outfit, the planting ability is the staple of the Stardew Valley-inspired mode. When you initially land on the island and unlock the ability through the tutorial quest, you’ll only have four patches of land where you can plant seeds, directly in front of your house.
To plant seeds in a fertile plot of land:
1. Equip the planting ability by wearing the designated ability outfit.
2. Stand on the plot of land, prompting it to start glowing.
3. Press T on your keyboard or tap the plant icon in the bottom right corner of the screen.
4. Select the type of seed you want to plant. Every seed has a different growth duration, purchase price, and production price.
5. With the seeds selected, back out of this screen and right-click on the land or tap on the seed icon on the bottom right to plant the seeds.
With the seeds planted, you can go near the land to see how much time is left for the crops to be ready for harvesting. This time can be decreased by using dew, with more effective dews unlocking as you increase your level. Similarly, new seeds are also unlockable after progressing.
Once some crops are ready for harvesting, walk over and interact with them to instantly collect them, adding the plants to your inventory, and making the land ready for planting again. New plots of land can be placed wherever you want through the construction ability that we’ll expand on below.
-Construction
The second ability that players unlock during the home system’s tutorial is construction. This is likely where most players will spend a good majority of their time. Requiring the Flawless Vision ability outfit, the construction ability doesn’t just let you select, craft, and decorate the furniture inside the island’s house, but it lets you edit the entire island.
The construction ability has two parts. The first is crafting furniture, while the second is placing and editing the island. Firstly, crafting furniture requires players to go to the crafting table inside their house. Here, you can use items, including flowers you’ve harvested, to craft new furniture. Pressing the craft button after having enough material to craft the item adds it to the crafting queue, which details how long it’ll take for the item to be completed. Four queue slots are unlocked automatically, and more are unlocked as you level up your construction ability. You can also use Astralites to speed up the process.
With the furniture you want crafted, use the construction ability and open your inventory using the B key or tapping the box icon. Here, you’ll find everything you’ve made and own, and selecting something lets you freely place it on your island. In addition to items, you can also place structures this way, including cliffs and mountains. After selecting something, you can rotate it to ensure it looks how you want it to be before placing it down. Alternatively, using the construction ability and highlighting an existing item or structure lets you copy, edit, or completely delete it from your island.
-Fish Keeping
The fish keeping ability requires you to put down at least one pond for your fish. With that done, equip the fish keeping ability, which requires the Fish Tales ability outfit, and interact with the fish icon in the bottom right corner to see the fish in your inventory. Here, you can see every fish’s growth duration, breeding proficiency, estimated yield, purchase price, and total product price. With the fish you want to cultivate selected, interact with the pond to place the fish in it.
Like how dews can speed up the process of growing crops, fish food can be used to make fish grow quicker. Fish can either be used to give your island some more life by having them be in ponds, or as crafting material for new decorations and refreshing garments.
-Star Collecting
Requiring the Star Memory ability outfit, the Star Collecting ability is used to turn the island dark and give Nikki the ability to see sensor-reactive meteorites. These meteorites are represented by lights shooting up to the sky. Just physically go to one to collect it and add it to your inventory. These meteorites are used either for crafting or for some extra Astralite by selling them.
-Animal Invitation
No Infinity Nikki home would be complete without some furry friends, and the Animal Invitation ability lets you fix that. Unlocked through the Meadow Symphony ability outfit, this outfit lets the player interact with animals outside of the home island in Miraland. Use it once to befriend an animal, and then use it again in your home island to invite them over, filling the need to have some furry friends.
How does multiplayer work in Infinity Nikki’s home system?
Right in front of the dock where you initially land on the island near the main home, you’ll notice a circular construct with flowers. The flowers will have a pink heart in the center, and ground slamming on it will increase the number displayed on it. This number represents the number of likes your island has. Of course, just liking your own island wouldn’t hit the same, so Infinity Nikki also lets you visit other islands.
To do this, walk to the nearby arch that you have to construct using the planting ability. Interact with it and you’ll be able to visit any linked friend whenever you want. Keep in mind that being linked is different from just being friends, since it lets you visit your friends even when they’re offline, and vice versa. You can ground slam on your friend’s flower construct to like their island, with this action being doable once every 24 hours.
Additionally, the new home system also lets you send gifts to your friends. To do this, go to the gift wrapping table in front of your initial house and select who you want to gift to. Choose the gift you want to gift, the message you want to attach, and the color of the gift box to send a friend or a random player a gift. Of course, sending gifts isn’t free, since in addition to requiring the item you’re sending, you also need to use some Astralites.
How to get more Astralites in Infinity Nikki?
Astralite is the main currency used in the Infinity Nikki home island. Used in the Yardling Shop by talking to Posy, this currency is used to unlock new seeds, fish, sketches, and animals. The shop lets you bring the most out of your home abilities, which is why it’s crucial to have enough Astralites at hand.
There are a couple of ways to get more Astralites in Infinity Nikki, including by upgrading your home abilities, completing the home island objectives in the home journal, using the Purifying ability on the Astral Tree that’s next to Posy, and selling items you don’t need. You can sell excess crops and furniture for Astralite, making things easier for you. Of course, if you still find yourself short on Astralite, then you can always look toward LootBar to ensure you don’t have to slow down your home’s expansion.
Conclusion
This concludes the complete guide on the new Infinity Nikki home system. With so much to do and so much to discover, everything covered in this guide is more than enough to ensure that you can get the home of your dreams made in no time. Of course, the system still has much of the grinding that Infinity Nikki fans are likely accustomed to at this point, and those who want to streamline things can always buy an Infinity Nikki top up or two.
