Characters Breakdown

Three Main DPS

Seed

  • An S-rank Electric DPS featured in Version 2.2 Phase 1, serving as the artillerist of the Obol Squad.
  • Her strong burst DMG and easy to use playstyle significantly reduce the difficulty of early-game progression.
  • Her Core Skill unlocks a “dual-DPS combo”, allowing her pair up with Orphie from Phase 2 banner for collaborative DMG output.
  • She works best alongside another Attack character who can easily trigger their EX Special Attack.
  • Her Core Passive links to your highest-Attack characters (also known as the Vanguard). Whenever either of them uses an EX Special, they both gain massive buffs.

Evelyn

  • A S-Rank Fire Attack character from the Stars of Lyra Faction.
  • Her Chain Attack deal massive damage, and her kit can easily group up a lot of small enemies, which helps maximize team DMG and combos.
  • She has a lot of build-in Crit Rate, making her an easy character to build for beginner players.
  • She only needs a Stun or Support character to activate her Additional Ability, which makes team building more comfortable.

Yidhari

  • An S-rank character built around the Rupture Specialty with a focus on Strike attacks.
  • As an Ice fighter, she is good at freezing enemies and taking advantage of their weaknesses to control the fight.
  • The lower her HP, the more DMG her skills deal and the less DMG she takes.
  • When her HP drops below 40%, this buff hit its maximum effect, boosting her attack DMG and reducing incoming DMG.
  • She gains less Decibels through normal actions, but when the squad’s HP decreases, she gains Decibels at a fixed ratio.

Rapture Support

Lucia

  • An upcoming Ether Support character from the Spook Shack.
  • She excels in Rapture and Aftershock teams and her kit centres around Dream Value.
  • Once Lucia’s Dream Value reaches 100, she enters the Dream state and increase all allies maximum HP, making her a valuable support option in Rapture compositions.
  • When she is off field, if the active character’s attacks hit enemies, Lucia consumes 25 Dream Value to trigger an Aftershock.
  • Whenever Lucia triggers a skill upgrade or an Aftershock, all squad members gain the Fierce Attack status, under which effect, allies deal more DMG.

Sub-DPS

Orphie & Magus

  • An upcoming S-rank Fire Attack character from Obol Squad.
  • She serves as a sub-DPS in Follow-up Attack (FUA) teams.
  • Her kit revolves around the Aftershock effect and deal off-field DMG and buff teammates.
  • She focuses on off-field FUA damage output and deals massive DMG, but she requires the third-slot teammate to be FUA too.

Stun Character

Trigger

  • A S-rank Electric Stun character from the Obol Squad.
  • With a unique playstyle and a variety of powerful builds, she is a force to be reckoned with.
  • She can deal long-range Daze with her Sniping Stance and use Aftershock to stun enemies while off-field.
  • Her Stun DMG multiplier is an off-field buff to the team’s damage, increasing the target’s Stun DMG multiplier whenever her aftershock attack hits an enemy.
  • She needs her Signature W-Engine to work best.
  • Her Daze is much weaker than other S-Rank Stun characters.

Pulling priority

1st Lucia

Reasons:

  • Lucia is the exclusive support for Rupture and a must-pull for players who already have Yixuan.
  • She is likely one of the best options for Rupture teams, since most characters besides Jufufu and Pan Yinhu do not buff Rupture characters effectively.
  • Unless you don't have Yixuan or are not planning to pull Yidhari, you can skip Lucia.
  • If you are building or already have Rupture-focused teams, pulling for Lucia is a smart choice.
  • If you are a new player or already have a well-built team, you can safely skip her and save your resources for other characters.

2nd Yidhari

Reasons:

  • If you have already pulled Lucia, Yidhari should be your first pick when building a new team.
  • Even if you don’t have Yixuan, it is recommended to pull Yidhari and Lucia first, because the Version 2.2- 2.3 banner is already well-rounded with both main DPS and special support covered.
  • Having any Rupture character is often better than none, so Yidhari should be useful against most Ice-Weak enemies, and she can even be a decent pick if you urgently need a Rupture character against a Miasmic enemy.
  • If you already have a well-built character or another strong Ice DPS, Yidhari’s value diminishes significantly.

3rd Trigger

Reasons:

  • It is recommended for players who don’t have enough support options to go ahead and pull Trigger.
  • Her off-field Aftershock DMG, stacking Daze, and boosting Stun DMG makes her both a Stun and Support character at the same time.
  • She provides exceptional stun potential, which is valuable for setting up your main DPS and controlling enemies.
  • She pairs well with Aftershock characters like Soldier 0 Anby but also fits nicely into teams with DPS heavy hitters like Yanagi or Evelyn.
  • If you’re planning on pulling for these characters later, you might want to consider pulling Trigger at the same time—she is already proven very useful against certain bosses on her own.
  • For beginner players, Trigger offers immense value due to her ability to reliably stun and support the team, making her a great addition to any roster.

4th Seed

Reasons:

  • Recommended for players looking to build a new team, especially if they don’t have a strong Main DPS.
  • Seed’s inherent strength is reassuring, but the downside is that her strong ATK teammates can be an issue, and there aren't many suitable teammates available.
  • Unless you really need an Electric DPS, you can pull Seed first and pull additional teammates later.
  • However, most players prefer to wait for Seed's teammates to be available before pulling her.
  • If you plan to pull Orphie & Magus, they work well with Seed and make her best ATK pairing.

5th Evelyn

Reasons:

  • If you own Astra Yao and Lighter but are missing Evelyn, then pulling her becomes essential.
  • If you are short of one Fire DPS, then Evelyn can be added to the team.
  • Otherwise, focus on pulling the main DPS characters and prioritize pulling new ones over old ones.
  • If you want an easy-to-use, solid character, she is a strong pick to consider during her rerun.
  • She is valuable alongside Seed, even if she requires a bit more on-field time.
  • Beginner players may not have enough W-Engines to pull for a new DPS like Evelyn.

6th Orphie & Magus: pull or skip?

Reasons:

  • The only reason to pull her is if you're a big fan of Soldier 0 Anby and truly believe it will be super strong after its rerun in Version 2.3, then you can take a risk to pull Orphie & Magus.
  • Otherwise, it's best to wait and see how strong Soldier 0 Anby is after its rerun.
  • If you want a strong Fire sub-DPS to complete your FUA team, then Orphie & Magus are worth considering, otherwise you can skip her.
  • For beginner players, you need a more versatile or impactful main DPS rather than a specific sub-DPS character.

Conclusion

In summary, Seed is strong even without teammates while Orphie struggles in the Aftershock team and doesn’t perform well in other squads. Seed and Orphie are basically safe to skip if you already have Electric DPS’s like Anby or even Yanagi to handle Electric-weak enemies.

Overall, it is smarter to wait and see what Version 2.3 brings. If you don’t really need anyone from 2.2, it’s better to skip and decide your pull/skip strategy once the 2.3 characters are released.
