  • Give back – boost to Pyke reputation
  • Keep – no ill effects or loss of reputation, and you can sell the ring
  • Sell – 500 credits

Your initial encounter with Gorak, the Pyke Syndicate leader, is a tense affair, but your trusty companion Nix ensures you don’t leave empty handed by swiping Gorak’s ring. One of the many sly moves on the creature’s part. While you can sell it immediately for a cool 500 credits, it’s best to keep hold of it as it comes into play during The Traitor quest a little later on in the story.

At the end of this quest, you’ll be presented with a decision: keep or give back the ring to the crime lord. If you do sell the ring before the quest, the dialogue option won’t pop up. We’ll walk you through all the outcomes and the best option. If you’ve only just snapped up the ring, then check out how to infiltrate Gorak’s base.

Should you sell, keep, or give back Gorak’s Ring

When the ring dialogue options pop up at the end of your conversation with Gorak, there are two possible outcomes. We’ll throw it to a table for clarity:

ActionOutcomeGive the ringBoost to Pyke reputationKeep the ringNo negative outcome; you keep the ringSell the ring500 credits

If you hand the ring back to Gorak, you’re reputation with the Pyke Syndicate will improve, raising your standing with the syndicate. On the other hand, if you decide to keep the ring, there’s no negative consequences (Gorak doesn’t seem to mind all that much) and you’ll be free to sell the ring for 500 credits at any of the merchants across the galaxy.

By this point, you should have a healthy stock of credits, so we recommend giving the ring back for a solid boost to your reputation with the crime group, especially if you’ve been see-sawing between them and the Crimson Dawn in early game intel and side quests. Keeping syndicate reputation up takes work, so a boost for virtually no effort it’s worth more than the 500 credits you’d get for selling the ring.

Overall, it’s a minor decisions in the grand scheme of Kay’s galactic adventure and has no bearing whatsoever on the main story. It doesn’t lock you out of any quests or interesting activities in Mirogana and beyond. If you are short on credits, then don’t forget to visit a Sabacc table or learn how to get credits fast to stay flush with cash.
