How to beat BB League Champion Kieran in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet The Indigo Disk DLC

Before you can go after Kieran in Indigo Disk, you must defeat the Elite Fourof Blueberry Academy. Make sure to challenge plenty of trainers to prepare for this fight. Each of Kieran’s Pokemon are levels 80 to 82 so they are a bit stronger than the Elite Four Pokemon.

Kieran’s Pokemon Team

Kieran’s team is made up of the following Pokemon:

How to beat Kieran

As we stated above, Kieran doesn’t focus on a singular type of Pokemon like the other Elite Four members. Instead, his team is fairly spread out and covers a wider range. Luckily, some of them share weaknesses.

For this fight, it is good to have Pokemon that know the following move types:

  • Rock-type
  • Ice-type
  • Poison-type
  • Fighting-type
  • Electric-type
  • Dragon-type
  • Grass-type

There are plenty of good Pokemon in the Terarium that you can use for the fight but you also have access to the Paldean Pokemon. Some useful Pokemon for the fight are:

  • Garchomp
  • Ogerpon
  • Galarian Slowbro
  • Chandelure
  • Primarina
  • Miraidon/Koraidon

Remember that this is a double battle so you will need to alter your team to fit the battle type. His Politoed, while weak to electric types, is prepared for this eventuality and has a Wacan Berry to halve the damage. Grimmsnarl also has a Focus Sash to prevent it from getting one-shot.

Once you have proven that you are the strongest trainer and taken out Kieran, you can continue on with the DLC and meet back up with Carmine. Kieran does make for a good opponent so don’t underestimate him.
