How To Catch Ting-Lu

Stocking up on extra Ultra-Balls and healing items such as Max Potions before you fight Ting-Lu might not be a bad idea. To battle and catch Ting-Lu, use a Pokemon type that has a clear advantage over Ting-Lu, a Ruinous-type Pokemon.  A few recommended Pokemon include Azumarill, Persian, Quaqaval, and Koraidon. These will help weaken the Pokemon and capture it without fear of knocking it out.

The best attacks we can recommend are Dark, Ghost, and Poison-type attacks because they’ll help reduce Ting-Lu’s health without knocking it out. Paralyzing Ting-Lu might be the best option since it won’t be able to attack your team.

If using a regular old Ultra-Ball doesn’t seem like the best option for you, alternate with a Timer Ball, which will increase its effectiveness in battle the more you use it. 

Perks Of Catching Ting-Lu

Once you capture Ting-Lu, you get the Vessel of Ruin ability. This diminishes the Special Attack stat of the opposing Pokemon in battle while it retains its own stats.
