Invite codes are a nifty little bonus that can make the early hours of Once Human a whole lot easier to stomach. They are designed to give players under level 10 a running start with a free bundle of experience, consumables, and, if the player generating the code is feeling generous, a solid starting weapon to mow down zombies and supernatural oddities.

How to get an invite code

To get your invite code, tap Esc, hover over Shop Events on the left, then click on Events. Alternatively, you can just tap F3 to jump to the Events menu. Click on the second Event tab at the top of the screen, then on the Gather Friends card on the left side of the screen.

On the right, you’ll see a section marked as My Invitation Code with your unique code listed underneath. It’s the one that starts with yq followed by a string of numbers. On the right, under Share Weapons, you can also pick the weapon you want to include with your invite code. Tap F to copy the code to your clipboard for you to share.

How to use an invite code

Again, note that to use an invite code, you need to be below level 10. Tap Esc then click on Events, or tap F3. Go to Events, then Gather Friends. Click on Accept Invitation and enter a code. You’ll then receive the invitee’s weapon blueprint. If you’re after codes, check out this massive Reddit thread full of players sharing their codes along with descriptions of the weapons they grant.

Alongside the weapon and starter bundle, both the person sharing the code and the one using the code will receive Friendship Points. This happens when you link up and bind with a friend, then the person using the codes reaches the following levels:

  • Level 5 – x200 points
  • Level 15 – x300 points
  • Level 25 – x400 points
  • Level 35 – x500 points
  • Level 45 – x600 points

These points can then be used in the Redemption Shop to earn rewards, including weapon and armour blueprints, decor items, and skins. Alongside, there’s also a Meeting Gift Pack that includes x1 Blue Liquor, x1 Malt Ale, and x3 Activator, which unlocks when the invitee gets within 50 metres of the inviter.
