In NBA 2K24, there isn’t an actual control for committing a hard foul. However, there’s one as highlighted above, that you can use to intentional foul. And if people know a little NBA history, hard fouls typically occur when a player is attempting a layup or dunk and receives a blatantly tough foul mid-air that completely thwarts their play and odds of making the shot.

So, with that in mind, in order to pull off a hard foul you will need to commit an intentional foul against your opponent when they’re in the act of making a layup or dunking. This will lead your player to either tackle them or take them out of the air, and likely land themselves a Flagrant 1 or 2 foul. If you intentional foul while the player is dribbling, your player won’t commit a hard foul. And this is particularly true when executing a team intentional foul. So be sure to attempt your hard fouls when a player is going up for a close shot attempt.
