Konami is poised to release Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, the remake of the 2004 classic Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. This remake preserves the original’s story and stealth mechanics, once again bringing players into the Cold War-era jungle as they control Naked Snake on a perilous mission. The remake will include graphics modernized with Unreal Engine 5, improved character animations, and the return of the “Snake vs. Monkey” minigame, a crossover with Sony’s Ape Escape series. Additionally, the game introduces a “Legacy Style” control scheme, allowing players to experience the classic gameplay with updated visuals. So when is Snake Eater going to be released? Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is going to be released on August 28, 2025. That marks over 20 years since the release of the original masterpiece. Players who get the Digital Deluxe Edition can start playing two days ahead of the rest, on August 26. As the game is still some time away, we still don’t know the exact time when the game will be released. As always, we will update you when that info comes to light.

Which platforms is Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater releasing on?

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is going to be released on PC through Steam, as well as on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Though it’s early to tell, it’s not likely that the game will be available on the Xbox Game Pass at launch.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater Editions and pre-order bonuses

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater will be released in Standard and Digital Deluxe Editions. Additionally, there is a pre-order bonus for those who purchase the game early. If you pre-order the game, no matter which Edition, you will get the White Tuxedo Uniform.

The Standard Edition of Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater comes with just the base game (and a pre-order reward if you get it early) and costs $79.99 USD. Meanwhile, the Digital Deluxe Edition costs $89.99 USD, and comes with a few extra goodies:
