Madden 24 is bringing Michael Vick back to the game. The former NFL star retired in 2017, but he’s joining the hit football simulator six years after. Thanks to Madden Ultimate Team, many old players can come back to the game in some form or fashion, but most of them don’t get the fanfare that Vick currently is. He’s getting a MUT card and upgrades and a special cover for the game.

Madden 24 adds Michael Vick in more ways than one

Michael Vick is primarily back in Season 3 of Madden Ultimate Team. It just dropped yesterday, so the rewards are fully available. Those who have been loaded up the new season have already unlocked the initial Vick card that is available in the Welcome Pack. Upgrades are available for that 85-OVR card at levels 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50, so you can really turn him into a nice card.

Obviously, that makes him the focal point of this season. Vick is a legendary Madden player. When the graphics and gameplay were much more rudimentary, people would play just to throw and run as the Atlanta Falcons star.

Since we get players that can be upgraded every single season, this may not seem exciting. But Michael Vick is a special Madden player. He has blinding speed and a cannon for an arm. The higher you upgrade him, the better he gets. You may be tempted to stick with your existing quarterback, but there’s a very good chance Vick ends up better than him once upgraded. You should give it a try.

Madden 24 didn’t stop with MUT, though. They have had featured players in seasons before, but they took it a step further. Vick is also a cover athlete again. There is currently a special edition of Madden 24 on sale for $50 right now. It has a 20th anniversary cover (Vick was the cover athlete two decades ago) and the following items:

  • Vick’s Picks Pack with 6 player items
  • One-month subscription to NFL+ Premium that includes NFL RedZone and NFL Network

It’s available for a short period of time, from November 15 to January 7. That’s almost the length of Season 3, which ends shortly after that.
