Looking for mechs and vehicles in Helldivers 2? After a strong start on PlayStation and PC, players of the frantic co-op shooter are wondering if they’ll get some new traversal options. Sure, the Jump Pack is great but an exosuit would pack a bigger punch. New weapons will certainly entice more players to rack up medals and resources in the game.

Are mechs and vehicles coming to Helldivers 2

It’s been confirmed that Helldivers 2 will get vehicles and mechs shortly after launch. At the moment, they are not present in the game. In a Helldivers 2 trailer from January 2024 titled ‘Report for Duty,’ the EXO-44 walker exosuit was teased. The announcement also mentioned that this feature would be ‘coming soon after launch.’ We expect it to work similarly to existing stratagems. And they will most likely be slow and cumbersome to control, making them an easy target for hordes of weaker enemies. Mechs will most likely be effective against heavier enemies like Bile Titans and Hulks.

Helldivers 2 mechs just got leaked

Recently, more news has surfaced about the existence of mechs and friendly tanks in the game. A leak on Reddit confirms that mechs are indeed in the game. This was followed by yet another look at mechs in Helldivers 2. User fozzye18 also noted that a player had access to ‘an energy rpg coming, a meteorite that hits like the nuke, a group of helldivers you can call in to support you(npcs).’

Playable mechs would provide more ways to traverse the landscape, just like the previous game. Rocket launchers and a minigun could lend your squad some much-needed firepower. And while the original had a top-down approach, the sequel shakes things up with a new third-person view. This makes vehicles and mechs even more appealing when it comes to traversal and dishing out punishment.

Expect the mech to be a high-level unlock

Start working through operations with randoms or friends to be able to access the mech right when it releases.
