You’ll get the Dead Island 2 Michael’s Safe Key by killing Michael’s Protege, who is loitering in the driveway outside Michael’s house in Beverly Hills. If you open up the map, it’s the white house immediately south of the northernmost zone exit that leads to Bel Air. Michael’s Protege spawns as soon as you’ve entered Michael’s house for the first time as part of the O Michael, Where Art Thou? main story quest.

Michael’s Protege shares many similarities to the basic walkers you’ll come across in Dead Island 2, except he’s a little quicker and packs a harder punch. He’ll turn aggressive when you spot him and lunge at you, so prepare to dodge. As with most named zombies, aim to pull off a perfect dodge to stun him, then follow up with a few well-aimed headshots to down him quickly. When Michael’s Protege dies, he’ll drop the Dead Island 2 Michael’s Safe Key.

The Dead Island 2 Michael’s Safe is in the living room of Michael’s house in Beverly Hills and on the shelf just below the TV. Michael’s house is a short walk heading south from the northernmost zone exit in Beverly Hills and southeast of the northernmost workbench. Approach Michael’s Safe, and when prompted, use the key. You’ll get a high-tier weapon for your efforts.
