The Batmobile in Batman: Arkham Knight has been rather divisive since people got their hands on Rocksteady’s latest game, with some players going as far as to say the controls of Bat’s car ruin the experience. Well, perhaps there’s hope yet as you can very easily make the Batmobile controls a lot better.

Bizarrely, you can’t change the vehicle’s controls straight away, so sit tight until you’ve visited the Gotham City Police Department for the first time. Before you head off again in the Batmobile head to the game’s options menu, look near the bottom and change the “Battle Mode Toggle” to on.

Now you’ll be able to brake using L2/LT, making driving the Batmobile in normal mode more natural and in keeping with other games. You’ll also switch to Battle Mode by pressing R1/RB once, instead of having to permanently hold down L2/LT.
