Logr is quite an interesting character in Ys X: Nordics, and he'll pose a big challenge for you if you want to get past the Ruined City.

Apart from boasting some decent stats, the main difficulty of the Mag Mell Mananann battle is the boss' constant attacks. You'll not get a chance to breathe in it and you likely won't be able to dodge all the attacks unless you try the fight multiple times. Here are all the attacks you can expect from him:

Slash Attacks

Much like every other boss in the game, Mag also has a combination of three slash attacks that it'll commonly perform throughout the battle. The first attack involves him thrusting his spear forward, which only happens if you're far away.

If you're close to him, he'll only perform the second and the third attack where he simply slashes his spear at you.

Storm Attack

Ever since the beginning of the battle, Logr will constantly summon two pink storms that'll move toward your position. These are easy to parry and serve as a great one for building your revenge gauge.

As you bring his HP down, Mag will start performing the first slash attack through these storms, and it's important to keep an eye out for that.

Special Thrust

Sometimes, Mag Mell will charge for a moment with a red aura around him before thrusting the spear toward the active character. Here, you can parry the attack to perform a special animation and deal a ton of damage.

Spin Attack

Sometimes, the enemy can take the spear in its hand and quickly spin it vertically. While this attack is one of the weakest, it can make for a good source to build your revenge gauge.

How To Defeat Mag Mell Mananann

One of the main issues you'll face in the Mag Mell Mananann fight is that the enemy stays airborne all the time, which makes it difficult to keep an eye on it, especially when you're up close. You can solve this to an extent by locking in on the enemy, but the best practice is to just look higher up on your screen.

Most of the enemy's attacks are easy to parry and he also has a small pool of attacks, which makes it common to have a high revenge gauge. Combined with some high damage-dealing skills, this can allow you to easily lower his HP. Another thing to remember is to stock up on the healing potions.

Once you remove the boss' durability, you can start attacking with Adol since he generally deals more damage while Karja works on Break.
