Yu-Gi-Oh! – The 10 Best Extra Deck Monsters In Battles Of Legend: Crystal Revenge

Battles of Legends: Crystal Revenge, like most side sets in Yu-Gi-Oh!, includes many reprinted cards from previous sets that players have been clamoring for. Whether it is a staple extra deck monster that can be used in about every other deck, like the mighty Accesscode Talker, or old archetypes that have been seeing a resurgence due to the popularity of the Edison legacy format in Blackwings, Crystal Revenge has a little bit of everything for every Yu-Gi-Oh! fan.

Extra deck monsters are some of the strongest cards in the game. Sometimes they can be in-archetype cards that can push your advantage even further, or generic cards that can set up many negates, making your board extremely pesky to deal with.
10 Blackwing Armor Master
Although Armor Master is not as good as other cards by today's standards, it was a very popular card during the 2010 Yu-Gi-Oh! format, most commonly known as Edison Format. The 5Ds anime-inspired Blackwings deck was very popular and won many events during this period, and Armor Master was a key card in the build.
Blackwing Armor Master, combined with Blackwing - Bora the Spear's piercing ability, can remove annoying cards on the board while still dealing damage to your opponent.
9 Hieratic Seal Of The Heavenly Spheres
One of the best cards to include in any Dragon-based deck, Heavenly Spheres can out a problematic card by tributing itself and returning a card to the hand. It also does this without targeting the chosen card itself, meaning it can get under untargetable pesky stuff like Blue-Eyes Chaos MAX Dragon and similar threats.
Not only does Heavenly Spheres get you out of a pickle, but it floats into a different card whenever it uses its effect. Meaning you can then use it to either Link into a different monster or use a Synchro tune-up to get in for some extra damage.
8 Selene, Queen Of The Master Magicians
Another great reprint in Crystal Revenge, Selene is an amazing Link-3 support for the Endymion archetype. While it shines the most while playing that deck, it can be used in any deck that centers its core gameplay around Spellcasters and Spell cards, like Dark Magician or even Performapals.
Any card that can get an extra summon is always appreciated in today's Yu-Gi-Oh! metagame. Especially if that card is also not able to be targeted by card effects, making it especially hard to remove even if your opponent stops you mid-combo.
7 Borreload Savage Dragon
There is a reason why players wanted Borreload Savage Dragon to be reprinted as soon as possible. Not only is this beast of a card a great boss monster in any deck that can play Tuner cards, but having access to card negation in the form of a Quick Effect is indispensable. Most cards that can negate others will be able to do so once, but Borreload Savage Dragon can do it up to six times, provided you equip it with The Arrival Cyberse @Ignister.

Luckily Borreload Savage Dragon's effect is only able to be used once per turn, or else that card would get a swift ticket to the Forbidden and Limited List.
6 Evil Twin Lil-la
All good things come in pairs; the same applies to Yu-Gi-Oh!'s favorite V-Tubers. Evil Twin Lil-La can destroy a card on the field if her cohost Ki-Sikil is on the field, and if she is absent, you can summon one directly from the Graveyard.
Although the Live Twin archetype seems a bit underpowered and mostly focused on recruiting the other half of the monsters you don't control, its potential to "link climb" into bigger cards is huge, especially when you account for its synergy with the Unchained archetype and the meta-dominant Spright.
5 Evil Twin Ki-sikil
Just like her counterpart, Lil-La, Ki-sikil can summon any Lil-la card from the Graveyard, but unlike her, Ki-sikil can draw you a card if you already have Lil-la on the Field. This is incredibly helpful since it can draw you an extra extender or a piece of removal if going second. Most Yu-Gi-Oh! players can agree that having an extra card in hand is essential. There's a reason why Pot of Greed is still banned.
Just like Lil-la, Ki-sikil is an amazing card and a must-have for any fans of the Live Twin archetype, but it is flexible enough for players to be creative with Live Twin builds.
4 Revived King Ha Des
Any older Yu-Gi-Oh! fan will agree that all Zombie support is always welcomed with open arms. Especially if it is for Ha Des. Being an iconic monster in Yu-Gi-Oh!, Ha Des does not come with its own controversy. Most players will scoff at any type of oppressive floodgates included in the game. With Skill Drain running rampant in decks like Eldlich and even the new Runick deck, it is about time that the Dark Lord himself is featured in another Yu-Gi-Oh! card.
Revived King Ha Des is not one of the best Zombie Extra Deck Monsters, but hardcore Yu-Gi-Oh! fans will find merit in its floodgate effect reminiscent of the old Dark Ruler Ha Des.
3 Number F0: Utopic Draco Future
Utopic Draco Future is an absolute menace of a card. It is a generic XYZ Monster, so just about every deck that plays same-level monsters can use it since its summoning requirement is three same-rank XYZ Monsters. This requirement can be bypassed by using Number F0: Utopic Future as XYZ material, and that card only requires two XYZ Monsters to summon.

The biggest boon that Utopic Draco Future offers over his smaller counterpart is that it comes built-in with as many negates as one could ever wish for.
2 Accesscode Talker
Accesscode Talker has been ruling players' Extra Decks for quite some time now. Even though each deck in Yu-Gi-Oh! has its own game plan and boards that it can create, generic cards will rule the top-level meta for the foreseeable future. That's where Accesscode Talker comes in.
Being able to fit it in any Extra Deck with Link Monsters, Accesscode Talker can be that piece of removal that you need in a pickle or simply be a huge stick to OTK your opponent with.
1 G Golem Dignified Trilithon
Being a new archetype introduced in Battles of Legend: Crystal Revenge, G Golem as an archetype is quite small, but its effects are powerful. Dignified Trilithon has a neat effect that forces your opponent to attack itself, and when it battles, it can negate that Monster's effect.
Not only are the G Golem effects interesting, but they are also Cyberse cards, the newest typing in the game, meaning more cards of that same typing are to come. As long as Cyberse cards are created, G Golem will continue to get more powerful.
