As you adventure, you will gather threads that will continue to upgrade it, potentially giving you incredible stat boosts. Gather enough, and you will unlock toys to give your cloak an amazing new appearance.
What Is The Cloak Of Infinite Potential?
The Cloak of Infinite Potential is a back item only available during the Mists of Pandaria remix event. It is given to you during the event's tutorial, and will stay with you until its end.
As you level and loot, it can be, as it suggests, infinitely upgraded to boost stats such as stamina, strength, and even experience gain.
Additionally, a portion of the stats will be carried over to the cloak of any new Timerunner characters created.
How To Upgrade The Cloak Of Infinite Potential
Various threads can be looted from Cache's of Infinite Potential, enemies, and raid and dungeon bosses. Once looted, they will automatically be applied to your cloak.
As you upgrade the cloak, you will unlock achievements that will not only strengthen the cloak of new characters, but you can eventually earn the fabled August Celestial Wing toys.
These will give the appearance of the old legendary cloaks, allowing you to don a liking of Niuzou, Yu'lon, Xuen, or Chi'ji.
The achievement 'Infinite Power XII', requiring you to collect 4,200 threads on a single character, will give you these toys.
