World of Warcraft Dragonflight season four helps players, new or experienced, gear their characters with the best pieces possible. Most of the problems in gearing are getting one or two specific items, mostly trinkets or weapons, that give an enormous boost to either your healing, survivability, or overall damage.

In season four, you can get Antique Bronze Bullions and use this as a currency to buy any of those best-in-slot gear pieces you are missing. It is one of the best features in this new season, and you'll surely need to capitalize on this to make your life a lot easier.

Where To Get Antique Bronze Bullions

Antique Bronze Bullions drop from awakened raids. Once you defeat a boss in an awakened raid (of any difficulty), you have a chance to get an Antique Bronze Bullion. The drop rate is low, but it isn't that rare.

From experience, they drop often, and you have to be extremely unlucky not to get one, even after clearing one whole raid. Even then, there are different raid difficulties you can do to increase your chances of getting one.

However, there is a cap or limit to how many Antique Bronze Bullion you can get. Starting in the first week of season four, you can only get one Antique Bronze Bullion per character. The cap rises by one for each succeeding week.

In short, if you didn't have a chance to play enough to get one for the week, you can catch up on different weeks to get more. Moreover, the system helps your alts catch up easily if you ever think about changing characters or trying out a new class, specialization, or role.

Awakened Raid Vendors

In the east of Valdrakken, you'll see a little building named the Parting Glass, coordinates 74, 45. In this building, multiple vendors will sell the gear and cosmetics you need in exchange for Antique Bronze Bullions.

Here are the vendors available:

  • Iszy - Vault of the Incarnates Vendor
  • Iszinormi - Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible Vendor
  • Iszinormi (Dragon) - Amirdrassil, the Dream's Hope Vendor
  • Mirioszin - Cosmetics Vendor

From the list above, you'll see four different vendors. Three vendors sell weapons, off-hands, trinkets, and rings from a specific raid. Technically, you can get any piece of item in any raid, regardless of which raid is awakened. The purchased item from the vendor will have the "Awakened" tag rather than "Hero" or "Myth," so you will easily get the best gear.

Awakened items have 12 available upgrades compared to a Myth's four or a Hero's eight. The only thing you need to know is that Awakened gear goes as high as the max level of a Myth item, which is item level 528. It just costs a lot more Crests and Flightstones to reach that level.

As for the other Antique Bronze Bullion vendor, Mirioszin only sells cosmetics. For collectors, you can try to get some cosmetic items and just try to get the gear you want the hard way. However, season four will last for months anyway, giving you multiple chances for Antique Bronze Bullions.

Where Should You Spend Your Antique Bronze Bullions?

Since Antique Bronze Bullions are quite limited, you should proceed with caution when using them. For most classes and specializations, the biggest increase in output, regardless of your class, would be a weapon.

Weapons give the biggest output out of any item slot because they have the most stats out of any gear pieces. The amount of main stat (Intellect, Agility, or Strength) it gives is almost equivalent to two of your best pieces combined (chest or leg). Weapons should be your number one priority when spending Antique Bronze Bullions when gearing your character.

There are also special cases where your class or specialization wants to have a one-hand and an off-hand as a weapon. This is quite troublesome because a one-handed weapon costs the same as a two-handed weapon, which costs two Antique Bronze Bullions. If you add another off-hand to the shopping list, you'll need a total of four.

This isn't very cost-efficient, but some specializations really want to get a specific one-hander, like the Vakesh, the Shadowed Inferno mace for Discipline Priests. In this case, you want to get a great off-hand first before buying the Vakesh mace.

If you don't have it yet, you should prioritize other pieces before the mace. You never want to buy an off-hand with Antique Bronze Bullions.

There are some other alternatives you can prioritize. For example, if your best-in-slot weapon piece is found in a dungeon or, in the case discussed before, which is rare, you cannot buy it with Antique Bronze Bullions. In this scenario, you'll move to buying best-in-slot trinkets.

Most trinkets don't give valuable stats, but their effects are usually the ones that put them at the top. In this case, the effect has to be good for your class to be worth the investment. Since there are two trinket slots for each player, you'll surely need to buy at least one even if you are lucky enough to get a great one already.

Now, it all depends on simulating your character or researching the best-in-slot trinkets for your class and specializations. Look at what the best ones are and try to simulate your character with your current gear.

If you already have a trinket in mind, you should wait until you open your Great Vault for the week. In some cases, you might even get the trinket you are looking for in the Great Vault. If you happen to miss it in the vault, that's when you should buy the trinket in the Parting Glass.

Are You Running Dungeons Or Raids?

Since all the gear that can be bought with Antique Bronze Bullions is only from the awakened raids, there's no way of buying dungeon items. This means that this system heavily favors those who just run mythic+ dungeons all the time for gear since they can now get raid items without having to run raids.

For those who are in guilds that run weekly raids together, your priorities might change. For example, the Ominous Chromatic Essence is probably one of the best trinkets for most classes and specializations in Dragonflight's season four.

If your guild runs Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible, you might want to go for a different trinket with your Antique Bronze Bullions instead. Since the Ominous Chromatic Essence drops from The Forgotten Experiments boss, it isn't quite far.

The golden rule should be that if your group has finished a specific boss in a specific raid that drops the trinket that you want, you should hold off on spending your Antique Bronze Bullions to buy that trinket. If you are only running heroic, this rule doesn't apply since you'll get "Myth" level gear if you buy it from the Parting Glass.

For players who run dungeons, you should definitely focus on the trinkets because that is the only way you can get a Myth-tier trinket apart from the weekly Great Vault.
