Cave Passages Fast Travel, Explained
CloseHow To Use Cave Passages
Spread across the different biomes of Vardoran is a network of interlinked caves, with a Cave Passage forming an entrance and exit. These are indicated by a red crevice in the wall, and using them for fast travel purposes is a very simple process.
Simply approach a Cave Passage and interact with it. After a little while, you'll find yourself at the other end of the Cave Passage, and in another part of the map.
Cave Passages Advantage
Waygates are another means of fast travel. While they are more versatile in their use, allowing you to teleport to any Waygate you've unlocked on the map, they are also more restricted. Certain items and resources can't be carried over using a Waygate, forcing you to leave them behind.
Such is not the case for Cave Passages, as they do not possess this limitation. You'refree to take every item in your inventorythrough Cave Passages, making them a more reliable option.
Cave Passages Limitation
However, there is one catch to using Cave Passages: they are a one-way trip. If you head through a cave entrance, the exit you find yourself at will always be located atop a ledge. While you can return to the entrance through the exit, you can't do so once you've jumped down the ledge, as you can't climb it back.
Not even your Bat Form will be of help here, and your only way of returning to the cave entrance would be traveling all the way back to it. Therefore, it's wise to think twice before making the jump.
