Ulrika Magdova now brings her considerable talents to aid you on the battlefield. This guide will explain how you can unlock access to the Ulrika Magdova hero on your account, as well as how to recruit her into your faction during a campaign.

How To Unlock The Ulrika DLC

Like some other Free Content drops, unlocking Ulrika will require you to have Total War Accessbycreating a Creative Assembly account.

This can be done by navigating directly to the Creative Assembly website, but you will also be prompted to undergo this process upon entering the game's main menu, and a reminder about the Ulrika DLC will be in the bottom right-hand corner of the front page until dismissed.

Clicking that notification will give you the option of migrating to the Creative Assembly website, and from there, the account creation should only take a couple of minutes to complete.

If you have successfully completed the sign-up process, clicking again on the notification should only give you the Dismiss option.

There will be no need to download any extra game files upon unlocking this DLC.

How To Unlock Ulrika In A Campaign

After you have successfully signed up and unlocked Ulrika as a DLC, she will be free to recruit when playing as eitherKislev or the Empire.

To accomplish this, you must first unlock her starting quest, Slaughter on the Steppes. This will require you to have a Legendary Lord at level 11.

Your instructions will be to build either aFrozen Outpost or Tall Walls, depending on which faction you are currently playing.

After the completion of the initial quest comes the second, Baiting the Bloodborn, where you are tasked with saving up 15,000 Gold.

This might take a bit of time, depending on how well your economy has progressed, but once you have acquired the funds, an Ulrika the Vampire popup will appear, offering you two choices.

You may either Recruit Ulrika into your faction as a legendary hero or Executeher and gain a ten-turn bonus to Control and Growth.

If you choose to recruit her, Ulrika will provide you with a powerful new unit for use in your campaign.

A Hybrid Wizard unit, Ulrika performs well in melee, with high Melee Attack and Weapon Strength. She also has a long-range missile attack, letting her sit back and whittle down enemies from afar.

This may be her best role, as she also comes armed with a selection of spells from the Lore of Shadow.

Regeneration and a stacking increase to her magic damage upon gaining kills make her a threat on the battlefield.

It is hard to not recommend recruiting her, as the campaign benefits from choosing Execute are not particularly impactful, and having a strong hero unit is often much better in the long run.
