Your Sim will be spending their time at the market in Selvadorada talking to the locals, eating the local dishes, and soaking up all things Selvadoradian. The more you visit Selvadorada and partake in the local customs and cultural events, the more your Sim will learn about the people and their Selvadoradian heritage.

Selvadoradian Culture Skill Overview

How To Build The Selvadoradian Culture Skill

Included in the Jungle Adventure pack for The Sims 4, the Selvadoradian Culture skill is a minor skill that sees your Sim invested in studying all things related to the vacation world of Selvadorada.

With a rich culture inspired by Mesoamerica with the relics and ruins of an ancient civilization, the Omisca, your Sim will want to study and learn everything there is to know about all things Selvadoradian.

Building the Selvadoradian Culture skill can be a bit convoluted, though, as it all but requires your Sims to go on vacation to Selvadorada, which will quickly get expensive.

To build the Selvadoradian Culture skill, your Sim will need to interact with the locals in Selvadorada to learn from them, eat and drink from food stalls in the vacation world, and chatting with vendors around the local marketplace.

When visiting Selvadorada, spend some time in the Puerto Llamante Marketplace or hanging out at the Cantina "El Arbol del Jaguar" bar after a day of exploring for the best chance to chat with locals.

Being Confident helps to build the Selvadoradian Culture skill quicker, so before heading out for the day from your vacation rental, use a mirror to Psyche Yourself Up to help with your Confidence and, therefore, your Selvadoradian Culture skillbuilding.

Additionally, two other packs make the Selvadoradian Culture skill both easier and cheaper to pursue for Sims who may not have the funds to go on several vacations:

  • The High School Years expansion allows for Sims to build Selvadoradian Culture skill by going to Social Studies classes that take place on Tuesdays.
  • Likewise, the Discover University expansion lets Sims sit in on skill classes at their local university for only §250 each class to build the skill.

An easy way to begin to build the Selvadoradian Culture skill at home is to learn Selvadoradian cooking recipes that your Sim can then prepare at home.

Helpful Traits And Ambitions

Since Confident moodlets help your Sim build the Selvadoradian Culture skill more efficiently in The Sims 4: Jungle Adventure, you'd do well to consider giving your Sim the Self-Assured trait.

Self-Assured Sims find themselves naturally Confident more often than others, which can be hugely helpful when you're on vacation in Selvadorada.

Confidence is key and can help your Sims with exploring the jungle and interacting with the locals, making it the ideal mood for visiting Selvadorada.

And since eating is such a main component of the Selvadoradian Culture skill, the Foodie trait may also be of use. Similarly, the Loves Outdoors trait offers comparable boosts for time spent outside, which you'll do plenty of in Selvadorada.

These traits both mean your Sims gain Happy moodlets when eating good foor or being outside, respectively, so it pays to double down on good moods while eating on vacation!

Finally, since the skill unlocks new songs on Guitar, the Creative trait is beneficial for learning musical skills a bit more efficiently.

While you're hanging out in Selvadorada, you've also got a great chance to work on building your Archaeology skill, too.

This skill is more focused on exploring the ruins and dig sites around Selvadorada specifically, but the skills can easily go hand-in-hand.

When it comes to which aspirations to pair with the Selvadoradian Culture skill in The Sims 4, consider the Jungle Explorer aspiration, which also comes with the Jungle Adventure pack.

The focus of this aspiration is on exploring Selvadorada and learning about its culture, and with so many tie-ins to the Selvadoradian Culture skill, you may as well double up on your Satisfaction Point earnings as you explore.
