While teens and elders can apply for work, the amount of roles they can fill is significantly reduced. Rather than a ladder of ten roles, they cap out at three. Thankfully, the hours are short and the requirements are small, so your sims can focus on other things while working part-time to make ends meet.
Teens must have grades of 'C' or higher before they can get a part-time job.

Science Career Reward
When your sim is promoted to level six in the career track, you'll gain access to the SimSanto Inc. Biotech Station. This unique device takes up a lot of space, but it enables your scientific sim to create medicine for consumption or sale.
Additionally, your sims can create viruses to release when in a bad mood. These are potentially fatal, so keep an eye on them while crafting the vials. With a high logic skill, sims can intentionally craft viruses.
Those with a low logic skill may accidentally craft and release the virus, so use the device responsibly.
Sims who use this device will improve their logic skills while gaining enthusiasm for science. It can also be used to give lessons to other sims, spreading the knowledge around the household faster than other methods.
