Your return to Kaer Morhen in The Witcher 3 comes with a real sense of urgency. Geralt and Yennefer have exhausted all leads on Ciri's whereabouts, save for Uma, the ugliest man alive. In the week it took for Geralt to ride back home, Yennefer had teleported in and put the witchers to work to make the most of the opportunity.

You will have to help Yennefer with her plan to restore Uma to his former self, ideally with more enthusiasm than the other witchers. The main quest Disturbance has Geralt help her set up a magical Zoom call with another sorceress to lay the groundwork for her scheme.

Meeting Yennefer

Disturbance begins when you visit Yennefer in the guest bedroom at Kaer Morhen, after catching up with Vesemir in Ugly Baby. She had teleported from Vizima and, in true Yennefer fashion, began ordering the witchers about.

You find her dealing with just one of the many frustrations that she is forced to cope with, her megascope malfunctioning. A cutscene will begin as you approach her, where you can raise the witchers' problems with her behavior.

Try not to complain about the bed if you turned her down at the end of The Last Wish. Yennefer will retaliate by dumping Geralt in the lake, forcing you to swim back.

Yennefer asks Geralt to help her with a task Vesemir had put off, using a magical device to find magical disturbances in Kaer Morhen. She needs the disturbance removed in order to call another sorceress about Uma with her megascope.

Where To Find The Source In Disturbance

Take the potestaquistor to the search area in Kaer Morhen's main hall. The device will react to magical disturbances by sparking and making noise. Yennefer's instructions are somewhat lacking, though Geralt will make up for it by commenting whenever he gets closer to the disturbance.

You are looking for a stack of boxesnext to Uma. They are filled with magically-disruptive dimeritium bombs. Interact with the boxes to start a cutscene where Vesemir removes the crates, leaving Geralt with Uma.

Geralt will attempt to communicate with Uma, letting you mess around with the funny guy until Vesemir clears the bombs. Now that the disruption has been removed, return to Yennefer.

Conference Call With Ida

With the megascope restored, Yennefer will call the sorceress, Ida Emean aep Sivney. Her elven heritage makes her the most likely person to know about Uma's curse. As an acknowledgment of Geralt's grievances with her methods, Yennefer will have him join the call.

Yennefer will be angry with Geralt if you pick dialogue choices that are too casual. Being anything less than polite will have Yennefer scold Geralt after the call, though it will be the extent of her displeasure.

After Ida disconnects, you can ask Yennefer about some details the elf mentioned. Otherwise, the quest ends.
