As such, a character like Sergei Dragunov is an overly offensive character that is also very accessible to pick up, making him a popular choice for those looking to get in and out of matches by ferociously pummelling their opponent. But, like most characters in Tekken, while his base floor is approachable, he does have a decently high skill ceiling, enabling you to grow and learn more and more about his playstyle the more you play!

Sergei Dragunov Overview

From a pure design perspective, Sergei Dragunov is intimidating and formidable as he silently dissects his opponent's strategies and relentlessly pummels them to mere nothingness in just a few hits. Is he the easiest character to get the hang of in Tekken 8? Not quite, but he isn't overly complex or as challenging to play as most of the other cast, making him excellent for newcomers.

He has many moves that are incredibly dubious and hard to counter, forcing his opponent to attempt to go on the defensive to take their turn back, which is playing directly into Dragunov's hands, as he can swiftly flip the script and punish them for being overly defensive with his grabs and devastating low attacks.

And, as mentioned earlier, it's not like Dragunov doesn't possess a high skill ceiling either, as the more you play as him, the more you will be rewarded for learning all his options, how to implement them, and how to set up his suffocating offense properly. Of course, you can just spam the same few attacks and see some success, but putting in the extra time and effort will also be super beneficial!
