Three new Clash games are in development, although none are guaranteed to ever see an official release.

While the title shows diversity in troops and heroes, an optimal team in Squad Busters should always have healers, suppliers, melee units, and ranged attackers. These characters are unlocked by either progression or by opening chests. You can also visit the shop to unlock new characters or buy baby ones to upgrade and evolve them.

10 El Primo

• Role: Defender
• How To Unlock: Through the shop or character chests from Green World.

El Primo is a fantastic defensive unit for early to mid-game and has a base health of 2800, so taking him down won't be easy. In his Classic Fusion, El Primo can deal a special attack by doing a flying elbow drop, hitting up to five enemies.

Evolving him increases the damage of his special attack and allows him to regenerate his health as well. El Primo is a great unit to start with in early worlds and can be used in later stages to defend your main melee units.

9 Hog Rider

• Role: Speedster
• How To Unlock: Can be found randomly in a chest from Green World.

Hog Rider gives your team a speed boost to move and fight enemies faster. With Hog Rider on your team, you can win every match if you use the character the character strategically. Fusing him makes the Turbo speed last longer and allows you to navigate the map quickly.

You can also use his abilities to escape tricky situations and collect gems faster when the mine opens. By evolving him further, you can make the Turbo recharge faster and increase movement speed greatly.

8 Medic

• Role: Healer
• How To Unlock: Can be bought in the shop or obtained through chests from winning matches in Green World.

If you love fighting other squads, then it is recommended to have a medic in your party as it heals your allies and provides them with the needed aid on the battlefield. Medic is one of the best healing units in the game, and when upgraded, he can throw heal packs to friendly troops while passively healing them over time.

With a Medic in your squad, you will be able to recover from deadly pushes and maintain your streak. You can select Medic after you have set up your melee units, but if you want, you can also start a match with him, thanks to his decent offensive powers.

7 Colt

• Role: Attacker
• How To Unlock: By reaching Level 2

A decent character to pick at the start of a match, Colt can deal a ton of damage using his bullets that cover a large range. His high offensive capability makes up for his low health pool. His Classic Fusion can use the Bullet Storm ability that allows bullets to travel through multiple enemies.

Unlocking his Super And Ultra abilities will increase his damage and will target monsters more often. Colt is a ranged AOE fighter, best compatible with melee and tank units like Barbarian King, Hog Rider, and El Primo.

6 Max

• Role: Speedster
• How To Unlock: Can be unlocked randomly via Desert World chests.

Max is a very powerful Speedster unit that can speed up your whole party, giving you an opportunity to outrun foes. Her ability is essentially the same as Hog Rider but her Classic Fusion enables you to get extra speed by busting enemies.

If you use her strategically, you can flank your enemies and cover the whole map quickly. In modes like Goblin Rush, Max can help you chase and defeat those nasty goblins easily without giving them a chance to run away.

5 Bea

• Role: Attacker
• How To Unlock: By opening chests obtained in Desert World matches or through the shop.

A powerful ranged fighter that has the ability to summon several bees to aid in combat by picking up hives during battle. These bees circle around allies and deal damage to enemies that enter her range. In the state of Fusion, Bea will look for hives that will grant her double the bees, hence significantly increasing the damage.

Being an attacker, she does have a low health pool, but her high offensive capabilities make up for it. She is a great melee unit for every mode, but you can only get her randomly from chests or by spending a hefty amount of coins in the shop.

4 Archer Queen

• Role: Attacker
• How To Unlock: By linking your account with Supercell ID

Keeping a ranged damage dealer in your squad is important if you don't want to get busted, and there is no ranged unit more powerful than the Archer Queen. You will be able to unlock her quite early on in the game.

She attacks by using tanks scattered all across the map and can shield the rest of your team from incoming damage. To unlock her true potential, get other Tanks for Fusion, as it allows her to enter Overdrive and increase attack speed.

2 Witch

• How To Unlock: Reach Level 10

An epic character from Clash of Clans and Clan Royale, the Witch has made an appearance once again in Squad Busters and is ready to take on enemies with her spawning units. The Witch summons skeletons that spread around the allies dealing damage to enemies.

Her Classic Fusion will allow her to spawn a greater number of skeletons and target more enemies; therefore, evolving her is a must. If you manage to unlock her super ability, then she will be able to use a powerful skeleton spell where she tosses a barrel of skeletons towards enemies to catch them off-guard.

1 Barbarian King

• Role: Defender
• How To Unlock: Opening chests obtained in Green World matches or buying from the store.

Squad Busters features both Barbarian and Barbarian King, but the latter takes the crown in being the most powerful defensive character in the game. Since he is an epic character, there is a rare chance of finding Barbarian King in a chest, but when you do, make sure to always have him in your squad.

Barbarian King has the highest health pool and can heal himself when idle. Keeping him in your squad will make your melee units attack faster, and his classic version can hit enemies with his powerful iron fist.
