Unlike the other Archfiends of Solium Infernum, Andromalius has retained their angelic visage after falling from grace. Embodying the sin of vanity, Andromalius believes themself to be perfect already, so why take on a different shape?

PostsAndromalius offers a solid set of Powers and an all-rounder play style that makes it easy for them to adapt to Hell's ever-shifting politics. In the hands of a skilled player, though, the Fairest of the Fallen can earn vast quantities of Prestige in short order, securing their election to the Throne of the Dark Majesty... as they deserved all along.
Andromalius' name comes from a mix of Greek and Latin, and can be translated as "Superior to Man."
Andromalius' Abilities
Andromalius starts with Charisma at Level 2, and Deceit and Destruction each at Level 1. While Charisma is certainly their most important Power, it's a good idea to level up Prophecy throughout the game, since Andromalius relies heavily on Rituals to maintain their standing and can use the extra slots.
Their Dark Art is Vanity's Anointed, a Ritual that costs nothing but a slot to cast and maintain. While active, it enhances a Praetor's damage dealt in the Arena. Combined with the Ring of Spectacle, which Andromalius has equipped by default, this makes instigating and winning Praetor Duels the cornerstone of their strategy.
Andromalius' other starting equipment, the Ring of Tyranny and the Ring of Tartarology, grant additional choices when seeking Tribute and Manuscripts, respectively. Unless you have a trick play in mind, Andromalius' starting loadout is usually worth keeping.

Based on raw stats, the Chosen of Andromalius will lose fights against most other Archfiends' starting Legions, except for Beelzebub. If you get into a Vendetta early, be sure to have Praetors or Artifacts equipped that can turn the tide of battle, or use terrain and support to your advantage.
Early Game Strategy For Andromalius
Andromalius should spend the opening turns of the game building up Prestige to attain the Rank of Marquex. Seizing nearby Places of Power is a good idea if you can manage it, but otherwise focus on Seeking Tribute so that you can achieve two early goals:
- Cast and maintain Elocution.
- Win an auction for a Praetor with good Arena skills.
Elocution lets you gain Prestige every time an Archfiend initiates diplomacy with anyone, and will get you to Marquex in no time as long as you keep bringing in Ichor Tokens to maintain it. Once you have a Praetor, drop Elocution for Vanity's Anointed and start picking fights.
If there's a human player in your match controlling Mammon, ask them for Chains Of Avarice early on. You'll both get extra income from the deal.

PostsMid And Late Game Strategy For Andromalius
Andromalius will likely be spending too much on Praetors, Artifacts, and bribes to field an army capable of conquering Hell by force. Instead, try to force other players into Praetor Duels that you can easily win, either by virtue of your champion's skills or a handful of Tokens slipped to the arbiter of the match.
If a player is too far from your territory to be able to pursue a Vendetta, insult them at every opportunity. They'll be forced to either take it, giving you Prestige, declare a Vendetta they can't win, or settle the matter with a duel... which is what you want!
Keep enough Tokens on hand to pay off aggressive neighbors if they make a Demand; Andromalius can be an easy Vendetta target if you aren't careful.
If you share a border with a weak opponent, station your Legions next door and demand a payment from them. If they're trying to avoid war, they'll pay you off. If they think they can take you in a war, you can challenge them to a duel instead if they refuse.
Continue this process, building up your Rank while purchasing better Praetors and Artifacts and cycling between Vanity's Anointed and Elocution. Andromalius should have little trouble gaining Prestige every turn once they get rolling.
If Belial is played by a human in your match, try to come to an agreement with them; Belial can convey insults on your behalf, potentially letting you fight more duels than your action limit would allow. Just be sure you have enough Praetors and bribe money to keep winning!
