How To Adopt A Cat Or Dog
Your first step in your pet-owner journey is to visit Gabriel's ranch store to purchase a bed, food bowl, and water bowl. You'll also want to buy food for your pet! Set these up on your farm before taking the bus to Higashi.
In Higashi, make your way to the pet rescue in the north west corner of the city. Here, you can interact with the register to see what pets are available. There are several varieties of dogs and cats to choose from, each with their own personality and temperament.
If you go through either door behind the counter, you can see the pets before you adopt them!
The pet adoption fee is 50 cupules, so make sure you have enough before taking the long trip. You'll need to confirm which pet bed your new furry friend will be assigned to, then confirm your adoption.

Your new friend will arrive the following morning, ready to work and keep you company. They'll regularly need to eat and drink, like you, so make sure that their bowls are full. You can fill the water bowl using the hose, and you'll have to buy more food from Gabriel when you run low.
Gabe also sells toys for your pet to play with, as well as a leash so you can take your new pet for a walk around SunnySide. Make sure you pet your cat or dog daily to increase your relationship with them.
