Throne and Liberty has a great deal of quests for you to complete, allowing you to level up relatively quickly if you tackle the side quests alongside your main story progression. And that's not even including the Dynamic Events or World Bosses. Another perk of tackling everything you come across is you will receive unique and helpful rewards that will come in handy in the long run.

Defeating the Queen Blood Spider as part of the Friend of Morokai the Turncoat side quest is a prime example of this, as you will get several excellent upgrade materials and a unique Morph on top of that, making it worth seeking out early on in your adventures.

How To Complete Friend Of Morokai The Turncoat In Throne And Liberty

After activating the Carmine Forest Waypoint in Throne and Liberty, you will gain access to the region's side quests, with Friend of Morokai the Turncoat being one of them. You can begin the quest by heading south of the Waypoint to the designated area marked on the map with a blue circle.

There's also another location you can head to that's west of this area, but this route is faster and will let you essentially kill two birds with one stone, so we strongly recommend just going south of the Waypoint to speed things up!

Once you're in the outlined area within the Carmine Forest, you will see an enormous web with many spiders around it. Look to the right of the web to find a collection of rocks and a bonfire beyond them. On one of the rocks will be a Collection Codex Page. Pick this up to complete the first step of the quest.

Your next objective will be defeating the Queen Blood Spider, which can be a bit tricky if you're unprepared. However, you can solo this encounter if you wish, as it isn't too demanding once you get the hang of her attacks. Nonetheless, as long as you're at least Level 19, you should be more than fine here!

How To Find And Defeat The Queen Blood Spider

Close

The Queen Blood Spider will spawn in the same area you picked up the Codex Page, so don't go anywhere just yet. If she's not there when you arrive, it's likely due to someone else defeating her recently. If this is the case, you won't have to wait too long, as it will take roughly seven minutes for her to respawn.

Whenever she does spawn in, ensure you grab her attention with a ranged attack to get her away from the group of smaller spiders, as they will attempt to attack you if they're a standard Blood Spider or if you accidentally hit them with an AoE Skill. You will be golden if you get her into a relatively isolated area. But don't go too far away, as she will disengage and return to her spawn point.

While she has a decent amount of attacks, the only one you really have to worry about is her Leaping Strike, where she will jump extremely high into the air before landing on you, knocking you to the ground and temporarily stunning you, allowing her to unleash her fury on you uncontested. Roll or Guard when you see her leap into the air to avoid this attack.

As long as you have Recovery Crystals on hand to heal if you begin taking too much damage, you should be fine as long as you avoid her most potent attack. If you still find yourself struggling, you can always level up a bit more and try again, or you can tackle her with other players, as you will still get the kill credit even if someone else delivers the finishing blow!

Rewards

Upon completing Friend of Morokai the Turncoat, you will receive some decent rewards. Additionally, each step of the side quest will grant you a reward upon completion, making it useful to snag the Codex Page even if you have defeated the Queen Blood Spider already.

In addition to the guaranteed quest rewards, the Queen Blood Spider can also drop a handful of other goodies if you're lucky enough, which we will also include in the table below. Overall, as mentioned above, this is an excellent quest that's worth seeking out early in your journey if you want to quickly level and get unique rewards!
