"It's true," Lois Lane opens in a leaked audio file for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League's post-launch content. "Green Lantern is back and fighting for us against Brainiac. Like the Flash before him, a hero we thought we'd lost has been freed from Brainiac's corruption. It's possible he isn't fully aware of his role in the events of the last few weeks. That means also like Flash, Lantern is now under ARGUS' control, he's likely not fully recovered from his... experiences."

Controversially, Flash, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, Batman, and Superman all die in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. To be fair, it's in the name. But those deaths may be less permanent than we thought.

Not only did a Lois Lane broadcast leak, but so did a voice line from Flash himself; "Folks, I get stopping us when we went rogue. I even get roping villains into it, but why am I back? Bruce said Waller hates us."

It then cuts to a synthetic voice discussing how Brainiac's resurrection "did a number" to his nervous system and that recovery will take a while. Some are taking Flash's mention of Bruce to mean Batman is still alive, but he could be mentioning him in the past tense. Regardless, if the current popular theory pans out, all but Wonder Woman will return.

Before the game launched, there were leaks that the Justice League would feature in post-launch story content. The assumption was that it would be a different version of the team plucked from the multiverse, much like Joker. However, it's now believed that the League we fought and killed were clones.

There is already some evidence of this in-game. Firstly, when Flash gets taken over by Brainiac, he returns with his missing thumb intact; Green Lantern's ring doesn't fly off to find a new owner and his construct doesn't disappear; and Superman somehow returns after being stabbed by Wonder Woman with kryptonite. It looks like all the 'possessed' members of the League were imposters, with the real team being recovered in some way by Waller and ARGUS.

However, Wonder Woman was killed by Superman before she could be possessed, so her return seems less likely unless Rocksteady has another excuse up its sleeve. This is a comic book game, resurrections are par for the course. And then there's Tim Drake, who is believed to be dead after we found his mask lying in a puddle of blood. Most of the League might return, but there are still casualties.
