This Life-Size Chun-Li Bust is Very Real And Very Expensive

Summary
- Sideshow Collectibles has created a realistic, life-size Chun-Li bust based on the iconic Street Fighter character's likeness.
- The bust is 36 inches tall, has silicone skin, and realistic synthetic hair.
- However, if you want to add the bust to your collection, it's going to cost you almost $4,000.
Street Fighter is not just a fighting game staple, but one of the biggest series in video games as a whole. Closing in on 40 years since Street Fighter's inception, some of the characters that have been a part of the series since the very beginning are recognized the world over. Chun-Li might have missed the first game, making her roster debut in Street Fighter 2, but she may well be the most famous character the series has produced. So famous that she has her own incredibly realistic, life-size bust that you can buy and display proudly in your own home.
There is a catch, and it's a pretty big one. If you want to have a life-size Chun-Li bust to call your own, it's going to cost you $3,999 and no, I've not added another nine to the end of that price by accident. Street Fighter's Chun-Li bust is now available to pre-order on Amazon and will ship later this year. You might quite rightly be thinking $1 shy of $4,000 is too much to pay for a piece of video game merchandise, no matter how high-end, but wait until you hear just how much has gone into this piece of Street Fighter history.
The Amazon listing might relay that the bust is currently unavailable. If you are met with that message, the bust can also be pre-ordered through Sideshow Collectibles, the company responsible for creating the statue.
It's plain to see that a tremendous amount of detail has gone into the bust just by looking at images of the statue. There's more to it than meets the eye, though. The head and arms are made of silicone. You might think that's an odd choice for a bust, but the material has presumably been picked to add to the real look and feel of the recreation. The same logic has been applied to the Chun-Li bust's hair which is synthetic and again, designed to closely resemble real hair as much as it possibly can.
That $4,000 Is Burning A Hole In Your Pocket Right Now Isn't It?
Street Fighter: Chun-Li Life-Size Bust
Sideshow Collectibles' Street Fighter Chun-Li bust measures 36 inches tall, making it a life-size recreation of the fighting game icon. Its face and arms are made of silicone to make the bust realistic, and the same logic applies to its synthetic hair.
See at Amazon Expand CollapseThe bust is 35 inches high and 24 inches tall and is a 1:1 scale replica of the real Chun-Li. Well, the real Chun-Li in the Street Fight games because Chun-Li isn't really real. Apologies if that's a Santa-level reveal for some of you. If you can't picture how big that will be in person, there's a QR code you can scan at Sideshow Collectibles that opens a feature so you can virtually place the statue in your home to see where it looks best. If you're going to spend $4,000 on a single piece of video game merch, probably best to be absolutely certain it will fit in your home and look good once it's there.
Video game statues are commonplace, but I'm not sure I've ever seen any as lavish as this one. Sure, Elden Ring's ten-foot Messmer statue would easily overshadow this Chun-Li bust, but that was a one-of-a-kind given to a contest winner. Street Fighter does have some other, still very expensive, statue options. A collection of Chun-Li powerlifting statues that got a particular corner of the Street Fighter fandom is still available, and while expensive, you can buy all three designs and it still wouldn't cost you as much as one bust.
