Here's everything you need to know about the Street Fighter 6 characters!
PostsWhile the first season only offered four new characters, each of them brought some serious heat to the competition, making all of them tremendous choices to play. However, which of them is the best of them? Even with the newly released patch, this can be a very tricky question to answer!
4 Ed
Released
February 27, 2024
First Appearance
Street Fighter 4 (Unplayable)
Ed was the penultimate character of Season One, and he came in strong, especially compared to the previously released characters. However, after the first massive patch, he sort of stayed in place while the others moved on ahead. While Ed is far from the worst character in the game, he is the weakest of the four DLC characters.

All 19 characters in Street Fighter 6 have access to Alternate or Classic Outfits, but which one has the best one?
PostsWith a fast-paced boxing style infused with Psycho Powers, Ed is a devastating opponent who can be extraordinarily suffocating when he gets his offense going. However, getting his offense kickstarted can be challenging, much more so than the other characters in the DLC, placing him firmly at the bottom!
3 Rashid
Released
July 24, 2023
First Appearance
Street Fighter 5
Rashid is a tricky character to place as he still has tremendous untapped potential that could very well propel him to the top of the list if players begin harnessing it. The biggest hang-up with Rashid was that he was released RIGHT before EVO 2023, meaning professionals didn't really mess with him too much, as they were already grinding with their other mains.
However, after EVO 2023 concluded, more and more players began gravitating toward Rashid, learning that he was playing a completely different game than the rest of the cast. His movement is unmatched, and he can do bizarre combos that deal tremendous amounts of damage. Do not sleep on Rashid, even if we feel the other two entrants are slightly better!
2 Akuma
Released
May 22, 2024
First Appearance
Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo
Now it's time to shift our focus to Akuma, a character everyone knew would be strong, but we don't think people expected him to be THIS strong out of the gate. With access to secret Super Arts, disgusting mix-ups, and the ability to deal unfathomable amounts of damage, we can confirm that this is the best Akuma has ever been.
RelatedEvery Stage In Street Fighter 6, Ranked
Street Fighter 6 has some stunning stages to fight in, but which of the bunch is the best? This list will get to the bottom of that question!
PostsNonetheless, Akuma is still very fresh, so we wouldn't feel too confident placing him at the number one spot just yet, but he is showing lots of promise and is a demonic force that the rest of the cast must reckon with. He also has a lower health pool than the rest of the cast, which can make him feel like a glass cannon, placing him in the penultimate spot.
1 A.K.I.
Released
September 27, 2022
First Appearance
Street Fighter 6
Last but certainly not least, we have A.K.I., a student of Street Fighter 5's F.A.N.G, who took all his lessons to heart, made them better, and is now an unstoppable force of nature. While she was already decently strong before the latest patch, she has since received nothing but buffs, making her the evident best DLC character in Street Fighter 6.
A.K.I. is tremendously powerful now, as she has so many options and combo routes, all of which deal unimaginable amounts of damage and pain. If you thought A.K.I. was scary to deal with pre-patch, you aren't prepared for everything she can do now. She is, without any doubt, the current best Season One DLC Character of the game, and it isn't even close!
