The Finals: Every Light Weapon, Ranked

There's nothing 'light' about the damage you can do with these weapons in The Finals.

Heavy weapons in the game have generally been getting less playtime, as players prefer to be agile and quick with their guns and abilities. But this doesn't mean they aren't good, as they can mow down enemies within seconds. This article will rank all the best Heavy weapons in The Finals and tell you how you can use them to excel in gunfights.

Although the Flamethrower looks visually amazing to use, it doesn't really cause any significant damage andneeds some major buffs to become a meta weapon. Most players in the game tend to go for lighter classes, which makes it very easy for them to escape the slow fire rate of the Flamethrower. Although it might not have the greatest damage, it can still serve you well if you manage to find a team who are sticking close to each other and can be lit on fire with a few bursts of the weapon.

This weapon can also be good in short-range fights, especially if you can corner your opponents and douse them with fire, but that is a very rare occurrence in this game. The long-range damage falloff of this weapon is significant and makes it a very bad choice to use without having a good secondary weapon in hand.

The Sledgehammer is one of our personal favorite weapons to use in The Finals, even though it may not be the most effective. You can use the Sledgehammer at close range to knock out your opponents in two to three hits. As fun as it is to use, it shouldn't be your first choice if you are looking to solely head into combat, as the hammer can be rather slow and clunky at times and certain hits might not register as you expect them to.

The main usage of the Sledgehammer in The Finals is not combat but knocking down walls to attack your opponents. This tactic works really well if you are part of a well-coordinated team and have your teammates covering for you while you use the hammer to destroy the walls.

The MGL 32 is a grenade launcher that can destroy players as well as the environment within the game. This is also an incredibly fun weapon to use and can cause a lot of damage. The only problem with this weapon is that the grenades it fires are very slow and explode a few milliseconds after they have landed, which can make them a little easy to dodge. Nonetheless, it is still a great choice for causing chaos and inflicting a lot of damage on teams that stick together.

This weapon can hold a total of six grenades before you have to reload it, which is a lot for causing destruction. The MGL32 does have a slow fire rate, which makes it a great weapon to pair up with an assault rifle, so you have something to fall back on.

The Lewis Gun is a Light Machine Gun featuring an impressive fire rate. This gun has a high skill ceiling and isn't liked by many players because of its high recoil, but it can be a great weapon once you learn to control it properly. It can wipe out enemies in seconds and its high damage is great for destroying shields as well. You can also choose to single-fire with this gun rather than just spraying down sights, which will make it easier to hit long-distance targets.

As good as this weapon is, the only problem with it is that the M60 is just a much better weapon with better stats. The M60 is also unlocked by default once you start the game, which makes the Lewis Gun kinda redundant. Regardless, you can still use this gun if you are looking for a different option. The Lewis Gun excels at providing cover fire for teammates and is a great choice to use from the backlines.

The M60 should be your weapon of choice if you are looking for a decent all-round gun for your heavy builds. This gun has great stats across the board and only falls behind in reload speed to the Lewis Gun. However, it has a very large magazine size which easily compensates for its slow reload speed. It is also unlocked from the start of the game, which means you don't have to spend any extra credits to purchase it.

This gun has some of the fastest time-to-kill in The Finals and rips through light armor like it isn't even there. You will also have to get used to the recoil of this gun, which can be slightly difficult for new players of the FPS genre, but it should get easier with a little practice.

Although many players haven't realized it yet, the SA1216 is probably the best gun for a heavy build. This is a semi-automatic shotgun that fires pellets with a high fire rate and can be extremely lethal at close range. Since most of the fights in The Finals are at close range, and you can easily make up space to get to your opponents with the fast movement of this game, having a shotgun with you seems like one of the best options if you can figure out how to control it properly.

Pairing this gun with the Mesh Shield and the Dome Shield makes it even more effective as it forces players to come closer to you if they want to fight. Another cool aspect of this gun is that it conditions opponents to maintain their distance, which can be punished by your teammates with good coordination. It won't be surprising if this gun does get nerfed in upcoming patches, but for now, it remains at the top of this list due to its incredible ability to destroy opponents and make them rage even harder.
