PostsWhile your farm starts out full of weeds, branches, and rocks, you can work your way towards making it a productive place. You can upgrade different parts of the farm, and you can craft various machines that will help process your produce to make it more valuable to sell. One of these machines is the Dehydrator.
How To Get A Dehydrator
The Dehydrator is an item you can craft, and you'll need the recipe in order to create it.
The recipe is available at Pierre's general store, and you can purchase it for 10,000 gold. It's a steep price to pay, but you can make the gold back by selling the produce made with this machine.
To craft the Dehydrator, you'll need three things:
Material
Amount
Wood
30
Clay

Fire Quartz

There are other ways to get your hands on a Dehydrator without the recipe. You can also win this as a prize in Mayor Lewis' prize machine.
The last way to get this machine is by picking the option to grow mushrooms when Demetrius approaches you regarding the cave on your farm. The machine will be given for free should you choose to have a mushroom cave.
How To Use A Dehydrator
There are three different products you can make using the Dehydrator:
Product
Ingredients
Dried Mushrooms
5 of the same mushroom (except Red Mushroom)
Dried Fruit
5 of the same fruit
Raisins
5 grapes
The five products you'll be putting in the Dehydrator must be of the same quality.
After putting in the fruit, mushrooms, or grapes, you'll need to wait one full day for them to dry.
Once they're ready, simply pick them up from the Dehydrator, and you'll find that the produce has been dried and bagged!
What To Do With Dehydrator Produce
Once your dried products are ready, you can sell them, consume them, or give them away.
The best thing to do with your Dried Mushrooms and Dried Fruit would be to sell them at either Pierre's General Store or the shipping bin.
The Raisins can be sold too, but they're a great gift to give to Evelyn, who loves this item.
If you have no need for the extra gold or the relationship bonus with Evelyn, you can simply consume them for energy and health.
You should take the time to put your products through the Dehydrator when you can to make them more valuable. Dried Fruit and Dried Mushrooms cost 7.5 x base produce price + 25 gold when sold. Raisins also sell for a high price of 600 gold.
