Star Wars Jedi: Survivor brings many changes from the original, including the updated look of its protagonist Cal Kestis, who is now one of the last surviving Jedi Knights instead of the unexperienced padawan he previously was. This is emphasized by the fact Cal no longer can be seen wearing his iconic poncho, sticking to a more traditional uniform of a galaxy wanderer.

Examining the sudden update on the game's Steam page that revealed Star Wars Jedi: Survivor could be coming March 16 next year, we learned some additional details regarding how Cal Kestis and his companion BD-1 will look in the upcoming sequel. Rather than wearing his colorful ponchos players collect during the first game; this time the character can be seen in several different outfits. As befits all Jedi Knights, Kestis can wear familiar Jedi robes, or even a smuggler's costume resembles the one of no other than Han Solo from A New Hope. Other variations of his appearance were displayed on the title's Steam page before being taken down, like the yellow Rebel jacket.

However, it may be too early to dismiss ponchos from the game entirely. Judging from the costumes currently displayed on Steam, we can assume that the devs wanted to update Cal Kestis' appearance, to further highlight that five years have passed since the events of Jedi Fallen Order. It should be noted that nothing stops the team from including at least one costume with a poncho for the fans of the first game, but for now it seems unlikely.

Another notable addition to Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will be Cal's blaster pistol, originally introduced in the game's debut teaser back in May. There will be several different weapons at players' disposal, including the iconic DL-44 heavy blaster pistol used by Han Solo or Combustion blaster, but we can expect many more. Some of the costumes, lightsabers, pistols, and unique BD-1 skins will be available to players as pre-order bonuses on Steam, or as part of the game's Deluxe Edition, featuring several cosmetic packs. Fans should probably expect even more special сosmetics depending on the platform or store they decided to pick the game from. Next: The Callisto Protocol Represents Modern Gaming's Hubris
