To take your fishing skills to the next level while sailing around the world of Fischon Roblox, you'll want to upgrade your fishing rod relatively quickly. The Flimsy Rod, which every player starts with, doesn't give you any benefits and its stats are awful — though not as bad as the 300C$ Training Rod that reduces your luck by 70 percent.

With so many different fishing rods to choose from, your experience will change depending on the rod you use. Some rods increase your chances of catching rare fish like the elusive Golden or Rainbow Fish, while others allow you to fish in unique environments, such as lava, or give you time to enjoy nocturnal fishing during the day. While each fishing rod may have its own unique perks, you can only use one rod at a time.

Where To Find Every Fishing Rod

The Flimsy Rod will be in your Inventory the moment you load into Fisch for the first time. It's a decent starter rod, but you'll certainly be upgrading to other fishing rods as you progress through the game. Although the Training Rod ruins your luck, it gives you a larger sliding bar when catching a fish — which is great while you're learning how to catch fish.

Of course, other rods on this list are going to catch your attention for the stats listed next to them. The Destiny Rod, in particular, is very sought-after, but it's extremely expensive.

How To Get Every Rod With A Quest

As you can see in the table, three of the fishing rods in Fisch require that you complete some kind of quest. While the Haunted Rod is only available to unlock during the Fisch Halloween 2024 event, the Magma Rod and Fungal Rod are evergreen quests that can be completed at any time.

How To Get The Magma Rod

Travel to Roslit Bay and head up to the entrance of the volcano. Instead of going inside, follow the path to the right — this will take you around the back of the volcano.

Drop down onto the ledge when you reach the end of the path. From above, you will see that there is a green character next to a gray tent. This is the Orc of Roslit Bay.

Speak to the Orc, and they will ask that you bring them aPufferfish. Pufferfish can be caught in and around Roslit Bay during the Summer, but you need Seaweed to catch them. Thankfully, Seaweed is one of the more common types of bait in Fisch. You should be able to get some from the Bait Crates that are sold by the Scoreboards on Moosewood.

Once you've caught a Pufferfish, take it back to the Orc on Roslit Bay and he'll give you the Magma Rod. The Magma Rod allows you to fish in lava — perfect for the volcano that you've passed at least twice now.

How To Get The Fungal Rod

For the Fungal Rod, you will need to sail to Mushgrove Swamp. Underneath a short, red-capped mushroom in the center of Mushgrove, you will find Agaric. He looks like the same mushrooms that are surrounding him.

Agaric will ask you to bring him anAlligator.

Alligators can be caught from the lake behind Agaric, which is extremely convenient. However, Alligators only appear at night in foggy or rainy weather. To change the state of your server to match your needs, you can use a Tempest Totem to make it rain and a Sundial Totem to change it from daytime to nighttime.

When you have your hands on an Alligator, pass it over to Agaric. He will reward you with a Fungal Rod. The Fungal Rod has a 70 percent chance of increasing your luck after each catch — this could lead to rarer catches.

How To Get The Haunted Rod

The Haunted Rod came with the 2024 Halloween update. For this update, players were introduced to Beatrix the Witch, who has had some of her ingredients stolen. She asks players to find her ingredients for her. When you return Beatrix's ingredients to her cauldron, you will be rewarded with various titles, bobbers, and other items. One of these is the Haunted Rod.

To obtain the Haunted Rod, you need to find five of the Witch's Ingredients that are scattered around Fisch. When ingredients are available to be found, players will see a notification at the top of their screen telling them that three ingredients have appeared, and which island they're on. In my experience, they mostly appear on Moosewood and Roslit Bay.

It's a race against other players to find the ingredients, though. They appear every 15 to 20 minutes and it's likely that you won't be the only player on your server looking for them. If you're fast enough, you should be able to get all of the ingredients you need in half an hour.

Take the ingredients back to Beatrix on Moosewood and put them straight into the cauldron next to her — the one she's stirring, not the one on her left. As long as you put five ingredients in, you'll get the Haunted Rod.

The Haunted Rod will allow you to continue catching the exclusive Halloween fish mutations after the event is over. These are:

  • Ghastly — Fish that appear transparent and have an intense green glow.
  • Sinister — Fish that are dark with black smoke/particles floating off of them.

No matter what type of fish you catch, if they have either of these prefixes in their name, they will have the related traits.

Try fishing in Frightful Pools with your Haunted Rod. These areas have a higher chance of catching fish from the Halloween event, which means that you could catch more Halloween fish with the Halloween fish mutations.

The Best Fishing Rod For New Fisch Players

Without a doubt, the best Rod for any new player is the Carbon Rod. It's only 2,000C$, and it increases the luck of your next catch by 25 percent.

2,000C$ may seem like a lot, but you can make that easily if you go out and just keep fishing. You can farm money in Fisch easily by heading over to anAbundance Pool on the map (like the Frightful Pools, these are areas that give you a higher chance of catching fish, but a specific fish).
