There are four total classes in Roblox Dead Rails: the Doctor, the Ironclad, the Alamo, and the Arsonist. Each of these comes with their own specific perks and unique spawn items that will change the way (and your friends) play the game. It's a good idea to have one of each class when starting a run, as this will give you the biggest advantage on the rails.

This guide covers each class in-depth as well as how to choose and change your class in the starting area of Dead Rails.

We added the new classes in Dead Rails, including the Conductor and the Priest.

Every Class In Dead Rails

There are currently ten classes in the game, although over time we expect there to be more added.

  • Doctor
  • Miner
  • Arsonist
  • The Alamo
  • Cowboy
  • Conductor
  • High Roller
  • Priest
  • Vampire
  • Survivalist
  • Zombie
  • Ironclad
  • None

Upgrading your class costs Bonds - these are a special currency that you can find while exploring or purchase with Robux.

Every player starts with the "None" class, which provides no unique benefits and only starts you with the basic shovel!

Doctor - 15 Bonds

This is the perfect class for those who like to keep their teammates healthy, and it makes healing in Dead Rails much easier.

  • Spawns with healing items
  • You can revive your teammates using half of your own health - you don't need bandages!

The Ironclad is an absolute beast, designed for slaying zombies and surviving onslaughts while your friends help you do damage.

  • Spawns with a set of heavy armor.
  • The heavy armor reduces movement speed by 20%.

This is an excellent solo class, but it's also the most expensive in the game.

How To Choose Your Class

You can select your class before you start a game by visiting the Tailor in the starting town. This is located right next to the tracks.

Each class must be purchased with Bonds and you only need to buy the class once and you can keep it for multiple runs. Each class needs to be purchased separately, so choose your class carefully!
