How To Play As Chef
The majority of Chef's damage comes from his first attack, Dice. Although the base power of this skill isn't very high, you can effectively double its damage by hitting the same enemy twice with the same cleaver. This will also increase your chances of activating on-hit effects.
Always try to position enemies between you and the returning cleaver for added damage and chances to activate on-hit items.
Covering enemies in oil from Glaze before using Sear or Flambe on them will greatly increase your damage while also stunning them for three seconds, allowing you to continue attacking safely or escape if you're low on health. This combo is great for dealing with larger groups of dangerous enemies.
Using Second Helping used with Dice will turn it into Mince, which will help when surrounded by enemies, especially flying enemies like Jellyfish. Having a Wicked Ring will allow you to activate Second Helping more frequently, further increasing your damage output.
Mince can also be used to hit enemies with larger hitboxes like the Colossus multiple times in a row.
Slice, which replaces Dice, is melee-ranged as opposed to Dice's long range, but deals more damage. Especially when used with Second Helping, which increases Dice's power to a whopping 625 percent. Stunning enemies with an oil into Sear combo, then smashing them with a Second Helpingpowered-up Dice will make quick work of almost anything in the game.
